Outside the property its pretty much a slum but walked to market and old walls.â
âThe hotel is an old castle. Renovated to fully modern standards but with the old style. Absolutely brilliant and cool concept.
There are three downsides though.
1. No alcohol at all. U need to apply for a permit online and get access to a liquor shop to buy what you want. That you can consume at your hotel room...
2. The area outside... Old muslim part of the city. Heavily traficked.
3. The Mosque. Not an issue in normal cases but guys..... start with prayers 4 AM in the morning?...

Must say We Upgraded from the Haveli to the Hotel,as you check in at the hotel,but THE HAVELI is a few KM away.
Didnât make sense so as we were tired paid and upgraded to the HOUSE OF M.G.
NO ROOM SERVICE.....breakfast in a restaurant outside,nearly by the road.
Service from receptionists,very slow,no bell boys,give an hour if you need anything doing,e.g.checking out,or any other queries.

âThe Haveli is located in the busy area of old Ahmedabad. It is nicely maintained and has all the modern amenities. Rooms are airy, well, spacious, and spotlessly clean. Mukesh and Rahul manage the property and provide excellent services to the guests. While the dining options at the property are limited, a tuk-tuk ride will take you to the House of MG, the parent branch of this property, which has excellent restaurants (perhaps, the best in the town). The breakfast ride is provided by the hotel...
