Check-in was scheduled at 3 PM, but we never received the promised email instructions. Only an unhelpful message.
By 7 PM, we had to contact Expedia after already messaging the property the day before, as we still hadn’t received any check-in details.
The property did not provide a contact number or explain that check-in instructions required guests to contact the host via WhatsApp before arrival. Only after Expedia intervened did the host explain this process and request ID submission, which then unlocked the instructions. While understandable, this should have been communicated in advance to avoid unnecessary delays. After traveling to many other countries and staying at many properties, this was the first time we experienced this type of communication issue.
Once the IDs were sent, the instructions were clear. The property itself was clean. The kitchen/dining area is shared with two other rooms, and our “deluxe” room balcony offers a partial marina view.
Parking was free with plenty of spaces, but access is confusing as it is located across the street and must be approached from the correct side. Better parking instructions would have been appreciated. There is also ongoing road work in the area, and Google Maps may route through roads that are currently inaccessible, which can make arrival more confusing.
