WIFI stopped working after couple days & wouldn’t come back on before I left. Service couldn’t help. As I was traveling for business this was a major inconvenience. Sockets not sensibly placed. Mold in the bathroom & the shower was leaking.

Cheap for a reason
Would have expected a little better given the price. Good location and service. Mattress was shocking. Window did not fully close. Noise in room was loud due to buildings boiler location. Finish in room was poor. Travel lodge up the road is comparable in price, and at least the finish there is good. Shower worked; redeeming feature. Overall, would only return if no other accommodation options.

The welcome was very warm and accommodating. The tour around the facilities was also great. But on getting to my room nr2 it seemed it hadn't been dusted in weeks the TV remote was covered in dust as was the bed rail and desk. The sheets were clean but not fresh. The carpet is horribly stained. I only notice these thing more seriously as I am in the hospitality business as well and if guests are paying for something they at least want it to be clean.

My room was really cute and modern. Shower had hot water. Kitchen for everyone was a big plus ! Distance to city centre was fine and easy walk. Check-in was little bit difficult to open the box with long nails but it was okay.

1. instruction is not clear. key safe refers to room 11, but the room is actually 3B and located in the back of property. 2. bath room corner on the floor is black mouldy. 3. room doesn't have radiator only provide air conditioner. the whole night is cold.

The room was cold, and dirty. The mattress was bend and soft. The manager hasn't be helpful at all as I was checking online for the room and seems that I booked 2 instead of one and in one minute, rang to say that it was a genuine mistake and he didn't want to refund for the room. Really a bad person. A greedy person that only think for his business. What has he won with me. I will never ever come back or recommend it to anyone.

Overall, Good value but needs new curtains.
The room, facing a busy thoroughfare, was baking hot and besides a tiny fan heater with a cool setting, which was useless, it was impossible to sleep the traffic noise meant I had to close the window. Also the right curtain had lost most of its hooks, rendering it almost impossible to fully close, requiring me to stand on the desk and take the one remaining hook, and attach it to the left curtain. The curtain rail and hooks were very cheap so it isn't surprising that they are broken. However, the room was sparkling clean, the location good and I liked the addition of a kitchen that guests could use. An improved version of the email where directions into the property are highlighted would have saved me having to call.

Very comfortable and cosy room, clean and quiet. Due to no staff on site a fair bit of paperwork before - passport details, deposit sent - which I am not used to and was a bit of a pain if honest.

The property was very clean and the rooms comfortable. There is no front desk making it a bit tacky for guests to gain access upon arrival and any information. The payment requirement information on the Expedia site was different from that of the property managers which exposed me to requests for payment from unconfirmed sources.

Access to a common room kitchen is awesome. Hire bikes very helpful. Location is one of the best neighbourhoods in Cambridge (lots of real ale pubs nearby) But the property is a bit beaten up (peeling wallpaper, squeaky rather saggy beds, shaver socket in bathroom didn’t work). Overall, cheap, clean, convenient. It’s a bit better than what I would have expected for the price

Good and practical place to stay.
The rooms are in a very good location close to local shops and within walking distance of the city centre. My room was clean and comfortable. When I mentioned a maintenance issue, I received a prompt, friendly response and it was fixed that day. The kitchen is generally well-equipped and it allows the traveller to cook their own meals - very handy for those on a budget. The check in arrangements are a little awkward as their is no reception and you must rely on phone and email to get access to the building. But certainly manageable.

Not a hotel but more like a hostel
This isn't a hotel - it's an unmanned hostel arrangement. So I collected my keys from a wall box and let myself in. There's a communal kitchen that took me back to student days. The room is fine - though the mattress was on box springs and they pinged and poinged through the night. I couldn't find the heating and my phone had died so had a cold night. And before checking in I had to send documents, deposits, all sorts of things that made it feel like a lot of work for a night's stay. If I had known I would have chosen somewhere else. Works well if you're young and on a budget, not good for me. A kettle in the room and no cups.

Customer service training needed
Office staff need customer service training. They were neither friendly or professional. Felt I was talking to robots who were only trained to tick boxes. Booked for a few days but Peymans (the company who own this property) treat it as a short term rental. I gave stayed in many places, for both business and pleasure, and have never encountered such a tangle of red tape. Felt like I had to justify myself to them as they were questioning my motives for booking. Not good business practice. The room was clean, modern and adequate for the price. En suite was clean with a good shower. No loo roll. The lovely, friendly cleaner gave me a roll from one of the kitchen cupboards. The bed was uncomfortable. I could feel the springs in the mattress sticking into my back. Original sash window, but single glazed, so traffic noise an issue.

Not suitable for business travels
The hotel doesn't have a reception so you have to let them know when you will arrive. Although I did nobody was there at the time and I had to make phone calls and wait for quite some time in the cold. The whole check in process was quite complicated. It is probably an accommodation for students & the person at check in didn't fail to explain me all those rules about visitors and noise levels so I felt like a student all over again. The area is very mixed, there are some restaurant around. Not sure if I would come back. It is not a hotel, not really suitable for business travelers and quite pricey for what you get

Nice room horrible bathroom. Room #1 Toilet is crammed into an area that’s way too small. There is a heated towel rack next to the toilet that burns you. No front desk. You need to call before you get there so someone can meet you to check in. Nice park nearby. Near to Central Cambridge Bus stops with National Express connections.

Fantastic location for the Anglia Ruskin uni & a lovely clean , comfortable bed. The communal kitchen is excellent & I was glad of this as the kettle wasnt working in my room. Unfortunately no shower head , ill fitting curtains and no wifi to use my computer in my room .
