    Med en otrolig ny anpassad renovering erbjuder Rockport Retreat fem sovrum och fyra badrum och erbjuder lyxigt boende för upp till nio gäster. Detta älskvärda bostad ligger på 20 tunnland och erbjuder all charmen av en Maine-kusthem förra århundradet, samtidigt som den erbjuder alla moderna bekvämligheter som dagens mest kritiska gäster söker. Retreaten närmar sig via en lång trädkantad enhet; Det passerar fastighetens magnifika ladugård som finns i National Register of Historic Places. Huvudhuset omges av charmiga täckta verandor. På första våningen finns ett fantastiskt kokkök med professionella apparater, frukostrummet, familjerum, solrum, foajé, vardagsrum, formell matsal och ett vackert bad med importerad sten och kakel. We enjoyed our stay very much. The home has clean, comfortable gathering spaces, as well as a well equipped kitchen. Our host responded promptly when we had a question. Camden is a lovely town just a few miles away. The location was perfect for us going to a wedding near Owls Head Village.

The pictures in the listing were beautiful, but the house in person is even more stunning. The house is well equipped, especially the kitchen, and we found everything we needed. The property is equally as stunning, and the location is ideal. It was truly one of the nicest vacation home rentals that we have ever experienced. Our only complaint is that the week went by far too quickly!

This house was perfect for a family of 6 adults plus 2 young grandchildren. It was very clean, spacious, and the kitchen was well equipped with pots, pans and good knives. The large yard was beautiful and ideal for playing with young children and the wrap around porch was perfect for relaxing on rainy days. The location is also great with restaurants, museums, shops and hiking close by. The host was very responsive to any questions. We loved our family vacation.

I cannot recommend this property enough. The home and the grounds were impeccable. The art in every room was beautiful. The house is large but at the same time incredibly cozy, and the location cannot be beat. Communication with Alan was always quick, easy, and courteous. Our family of six had the most wonderful time and we hope to have the opportunity to stay again in the future. This is truly the perfect home for a family vacation in Maine.

A wonderful place for a family summer vacation, close to the shore and just a few minutes drive to Hannaford and other shopping locations. Three nearby towns to explore— Rockland, Rockport and Camden. And several lighthouses.

This property was perfect for our family. The location was close to everything and so peaceful at the end of busy days. The home was very nice and the grounds were beautiful! We all agreed we would stay again. Would love to know any history of the house. The art work was appreciated.

Beautiful homestead

Our group of 6 adults and 3 children had a fabulous week at this great spot just north of Rockland. The house is nicely furnished and easily accommodated our family with plenty of places for everyone to spread out. We loved the extensive art collection and the large kitchen which is stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals with many people working simultaneously. The setting is as pretty as the photos show and we loved playing in the expansive yards and walking across the street to explore Glen Cove.

Lovely home in great location in Midcoast Maine

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home - it was a great location for visiting Maine - loved the shopping and restaurants in Camden and Rockland, and day trips to Acadia National Park and Monhegan Island were highlights of our vacation. Plenty of room for 8 adults and one infant. The property is very expansive and well situated. The bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen and dining area were easily able to accommodate our large group. Would recommend for large groups and definitely consider going back again!

Restful in Maine

Lovely spacious home with a wonderful gourmet kitchen on a beautiful, private property. We had five adults and one two year old. Everyone was comfortable and had a great time in spite of rain every day. It’s a short 10-15 minute drive to the 3 lovely towns of Rockland, Rockport and Camden.

Overall a very nice, convenient location in the Rockland area. Host(s) were very responsive to a few minor issues. As it appears that this is actually someone's residence and not just a rental, it has absolutely EVERYTHING you can imagine you would need, and of high quality. "Waterfront" is true but a bit of a misnomer as it is across the street and not really visible through the trees. The "beach" is rocky and not a place for a towel or swim - just be aware. There is room galore, tables and chairs everywhere, including on the nice wraparound porch. Beds and bathrooms are very nice, clean, comfortable and updated. This is more of a "home" than a rental for those who may desire one over the other.

Wonderful house. Wonderful time

The property is beautiful and kept up well. The kitchen is SO well stocked! It is not baby proofed but if you come prepared it’s easy to make it work. Only two things I would say to improve the stay 1) bring rubber soled slippers for inside. The stairs are slippery without shoes ( which the owner requests you not wear) 2) it would be helpful to include directions for the dishwasher. We eventually figured it out but the buttons are no longer readable and we spent two or three days working on figuring it out. These two minor things did not impact the enjoyment of our stay. It was great!

Exceptional Host! Almost Near-Perfect!

My family and I had a wonderful stay! I'll be as brief as I can and touch on just a few quick points: 1. Exceptionally clean! All the counters, floors, rooms, etc. were all spotless! Idk if I've ever stayed at a place that was as clean before. 2. Communication with Alan (the host) was also exceptional. Anytime we had a question about the house, the response time was very fast, and more than accommodating! He even had his maintenance woman bring us out a brand new firepit for the back yard when we told him the one at the residence was broken. You can't ask for better communication. 3. Location is great, 10-15min to Camden and surrounding towns. Most all the lighthouses you want to see are within a short drive. Of note, nothing that should dissuade you from staying, but just to keep in mind: 1. There is no central AC, just a few window units in the bedrooms upstairs. Not that Maine gets hot enough to warrant them typically, but we had a major Northeast heat wave hit one day during our stay, and it was very hot downstairs in the home mid-afternoon on that day. 2. The home is not the most elderly-handicap friendly. We had our 82 year old grandmother with us, and while we were able to make her up one of the sofa beds downstairs, she was unable to go upstairs at all because of the 2 steep staircases. Just bear that in mind if you are vacationing with someone who doesn't walk all that well long distances or up stairs. Overall, we were extremely happy with our stay!!!

This lovely home had cozy, comfortable spots for our This lovely comfortable home had comfortable and cozy spots, both inside and out, for our a family to hang out together. The kitchen was very well stocked with needed kitchenware and utensils for the times we decided to cook instead of eating out. We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful location.

Wonderful home!

This home was great for our family! Lots of good cooks enjoyed the gorgeous kitchen. The home was well stocked with supplies. The bedrooms and bathrooms were as advertised. Our family loved the big porches, gorgeous kitchen, lovely yard, quiet beach, ocean breezes and easy drives to Camden, Rockport and Rockland. Alan, the owner was personable and quick to respond. We will be back!
