Quiet in the water

Nice home-like stay with amazing views. Great sunrise, especially with the Coast Gaurd Eagle clipper ship visiting in the harbor. The bed was really comfortable.

tranquility on the bay

peaceful and relaxing really nice kitchen and back porch loved cooking in the kitchen and watching all the different boats in the water the moonlight was spectacular as well as the area restaurants everywhere we went got 5 forks we will be back

Property was very clean and had everything we needed to a week long stay. It is on the small side but the location and the price more than make up for that.

Rosemary’s property is in a beautiful location close to Rockland. We enjoyed being able to take short drives to nature preserves, lighthouses and historic sites. The view from the deck is gorgeous. We were very fortunate to have a week of mostly dry weather to enjoy some relaxing time on the deck. We cooked all our fresh seafood meals in-house and the kitchen was well stocked for that purpose.

This cottage is in a beautiful location! The view of Penobscot Bay is wonderful. The local seafood restaurants are excellent! Every morning we got up to see the sunrise over the harbor and went into town for breakfast or a lobster roll at Claws or McLoons (both outstanding!!).The owners are sweet, they came to greet us. Overall it is clean, the decor is older, but it made us feel like we were at our gramma's house for a visit!THE VIEW is outstanding!

Cottage on the bay

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful week in Maine on Penobscot Bay. The cottage was perfect- clean, comfortable, ideal location, and a terrific view of the bay. Perfect for relaxing and taking trips to surrounding towns, hiking, restaurants, and beaches. Al and Rosie were super friendly and helpful and we hope to return to the cottage in the future.

Great sunrises and views of the harbor

Great location to all the sites and activities surrounding the area. The cottage is perfect for 2 people. If you don't want a lot of excitement this place is for you. Enjoyed the daily feeding of the seagulls from the owner next door! Wonderful time.

Older, yet comfortable cottage with all amenities. Loved the Maine dryer! Friendly host, responsive to our questions. Best part was the view; great from the kitchen, and better from the deck!

Excellent vacation rental

My husband and I spent a week at Rosie and Al’s cottage. We enjoyed wine on the deck overlooking the harbor. The house was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Rosie and Al were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect.

Week by the harbor

Great location for views of the harbor. Quiet dead end street. Our hosts were very nice and helpful. For guests who bring kayaks, be aware that you have to carry them down some rocky shoreline to get to the water.

Relaxing week

Terri and I really enjoyed our week in Owl's Head. Rosemary and Al were nearby and available but respected our privacy. The cottage is wonderfully located and comfortable. Everything we needed for the week was furnished. We enjoyed being able to bicycle to the lighthouse as well as on a relatively close by rail trail. Thanks for a relaxing week.

Great Cabin With An Even Better View!

The cottage was a great place to spend a quiet week exploring the mid-coast area of Maine. It provided all that my wife and I needed to serve as base camp for our stay, from linens to lobster pots, it was all there. The view of Penobscot Bay and Owls Head was incredible! Coupled with the ability to dine outside each evening while watching the ships go by in the harbor; priceless. The nearby attractions kept us plenty busy and we got to see many of the nearby quant villages and shops. Great for that romantic escape to quintessential Maine!

We so enjoyed our week here in Owls Head. Beautiful weather, views, serenity. Thank you Rosie and AL for sharing your little cottage. Your kindness and hospitality were greatly appreciated. Vacation in Rockland

We were overwhelmed by the gorgeous view from the deck. The cottage is right on the water! The deck furniture is perfect. The kitchen has all you need including a coffee pot and coffee! The TV is in fine working order. Because my husband is so tall, he had to adjust to the double bed. We have a queen size. bed at home! The owners are cordial and helpful. We had a great week!

Fabulous deck!!

The deck and view are outstanding. The kitchen is updated and has everything you need. The living area needs an update - old furniture of the garage sale variety. The hosts were gracious and proximity to Rockland was great

Million Dollar View!

Spectacular view of Rockland Harbor and the breakwater/lighthouse from the deck and kitchen area. Every day we were greeted to a beautiful sunrise. Kitchen is well stocked with everything one needs to prepare meals. The bedroom and bathroom were on the smaller side, but it's a cottage so that was ok with us. All linens and towels were provided which is a nice touch. Oh, and there's a washer and clothesline, so don't overpack. The location is convenient to Port Clyde, Thomaston, Rockland, Rockport and Camden. Rosie and Al were perfect hosts. And so to end, we plan to return!

Wonderful Location!

Rosemary and Al were wonderful hosts.They quickly responded to any requests we had. The cottage was fully outfitted and comfortable. The location couldn’t have been better, very quiet neighborhood, and the view of the harbor right off the deck was incomparable. The town of Rockland was minutes away. We had a very restful vacation, which is just what we needed. I would love to come back next summer.
