The apartment is on the 2nd floor, with an elevator, in the most elegant building of the complex built in 1870 by wealthy Camogli shipowners as their stately homes. It consists of 6 large rooms: a double living room with a fireplace and an adjoining dining room; a master bedroom and a twin bedroom; an entryway; a spacious bathroom with a window, bidet, shower, and half-tub; and a spacious eat-in kitchen.
is a charming guesthouse in a secluded and peaceful setting, ideal for vacations or workations.
The house is equipped with all the comforts you need for your stay: independent heating and a fan; a clothes drying rack; various closets and a shoe rack; a desk; adjustable window shades and curtains; a flat-screen satellite TV, unlimited portable Wi-Fi; a stereo/radio and headphones. The kitchen is fully equipped: a second table; tablecloths and dish towels; fridge-freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine; a full set of pots and pans, tableware, flutes/wine glasses, and an ice tray; various utensils; oven and microwave; a teapot with an electric kettle and a Nescafé-DolceGusto capsule coffee machine; a blender and food processor; recycling bins. Plus, a hair dryer, an iron with an ironing board, a vacuum cleaner, and all the necessary cleaning supplies, including eco-friendly and hypoallergenic general-purpose detergents for dishes, the dishwasher, and laundry.
The building, visible from the sea even from Genoa, enjoys excellent exposure. Two of the large windows face due south, bathed in sunlight until evening, and offer a privileged view of the Golfo Paradiso: a superb 180° sea view stretching from Punta Chiappa (Capo Portofino) and—passing through Recco, Sori, and Pieve—...all the way to the skyscrapers and lights of downtown Genoa, catching a glimpse of its famous Lanterna. On clear mornings and during summer sunsets, you can also glimpse the entire coastline of the Western Ligurian Riviera, with the Maritime Alps in the background, or even distant Corsica.
At your feet, you’ll see the palace gardens and, just beyond, Camogli’s Piazzetta with its towering maritime pine, the main street with all its amenities, and access to the Passeggiata a Mare promenade winding through the village’s houses toward the island, clustered around the Church of the Assumption and the picturesque Ligurian marina.
The building’s location is equally impressive: the large beach along the seaside promenade is just a few minutes’ walk away, and you can even take two convenient, free public elevators to avoid the stairs. The town center, with all the city’s amenities, is right below the guesthouse: the host will provide you with information on everything you might need during your stay.
The finishes are truly impressive: each ceiling is frescoed with refined decorations evoking Freemasonry and the arts; the window frames are all original, while the double door is carved with heraldic motifs. The floors, on the other hand, are made of original terracotta tiles dating back to 1870, and in each room they form different colorful geometric patterns that frame period furnishings deliberately chosen to reflect the palace’s original atmosphere and history. In the living room, a unique piece stands out as the jewel of this apartment: a fine [non-functioning] fireplace carved from Portoro marble, a Ligurian marble quarried from the now-depleted quarries
