Cabin 5 – Metolius River Retreat

Nestled along the serene banks of the Metolius River, this charming cabin offers a peaceful escape surrounded by lush greenery and the soothing sounds of flowing water. Combining rustic charm with modern comforts, it’s the perfect retreat for relaxation or outdoor adventure.

Step onto the back porch to enjoy breathtaking river views and vibrant foliage, or gather in the inviting living area where a plush sofa and armchairs surround a stone fireplace—perfect for cozy evenings with a book, a movie, or quality time with friends and family.

The kitchen, though compact, is fully equipped with modern appliances and a farmhouse sink, making meal prep a delight. Enjoy your creations at the dining table placed by the windows, offering scenic views of the river while you eat.

Sleeping arrangements:

Main floor bedroom: King-sized bed with rustic elegance, ideal for a restful night’s sleep.
Upstairs loft (second bedroom): Two twin beds perfect for guests or family.
Outside, the lush lawn leads down to a private riverfront area, perfect for hiking, fly fishing, or simply dipping your toes in the cool waters. Shared resort BBQs are available to enjoy meals outdoors.

Located just across the bridge, the famous Camp Sherman Store offers groceries, coffee, pastries, ice cream, wine, beer, made-to-order meals, and a fly-fishing shop. For a night out, the on-property restaurant Hola serves delicious meals with margaritas or to-go options.

Adventure abounds nearby with lakes for swimming, golf courses, waterfall hikes, and Black Butte trails. Kayaking, canoeing, and white-water rafting are also within reach. Sisters, just 20 minutes away, offers boutique shopping, excellent restaurants, and plenty of things to see and do.

Cabins were immaculate, modern, and comfortable. Location was perfect- peaceful right by the water. Amazing hiking close by. Short 15 min drive to sisters for shopping. Barbeques ready to do with briquettes and lighter fluid- nice touch!

Birthday celebration stay

We went to Cabin #5 to celebrate a birthday and were extremely pleased with the whole stay. Logan, the local representative made sure we had everything we needed and took care of a couple small items along the way. This is a very well maintained property that I would recommend for a relaxing visit.

Beautiful location and property, but had we had some issues.

This is a beautiful location and beautiful property. The cabin we stayed in #5 was just lovely except for the badly stained carpet, which we really do not understand why that was not addressed before our stay, especially since we know that no one was staying there the day before. We were told that they were in the midst of a transfer of management to Vacasa and we were the first visitors under the new management. That is fine, but somebody dropped the ball and we should not have had to live with those awful stains all through the living, dining and even bedroom in a luxury cabin paying full price. And as noted above, there really needs to be a policy of no skateboards, scooters, or bicycles used on the property. It felt more like a playground at times than a quiet, peaceful spot by the river. The staff on site were very friendly, helpful and courteous.
