The "Cozy Cabin."......ask about our September cabin & golf deal !!

  • Here at the "Cozy Cabin" we offer peace and quiet with our 2-story rustic cabin. This cabin is built just inside the woods on our property. Out in front of the cabin you will be able to enjoy the sights and sounds of the great outdoors. Fishing with our catch and release policy is always a favorite pass time with plenty of large mouth bass and sunfish to be had. Horses and beef cows roam in the nearby pastures for that down home country feeling. We have recently added electricity for a more comfortable stay for our guest. There is no running water at the cabin, however, we do supply 5-gallon containers of water which can be refilled at any time down by the outside shower that we also just recently installed. This shower has been a big hit as our guest have raved about showering under the beautiful country skies. Our old-style cabin has the old-style toilet behind it in the form of an outhouse! Across the road you will be able to enjoy 18 holes of golf at the beautiful and challenging Canajoharie Golf Course. In the month of September we will be offering a stay and play deal and ask that you message me for more details so you can take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. The Lykers Way Restaurant offers fantastic meal choices and cold beverages. We are located near museums such as Fort Klock, Arkell Hall, Van Alstyne Homestead as well as others. Wintergreen Park is only minutes away as well where the popular scenic trail can be found overlooking the powerful waterfalls from the Canajoharie Creek as it pours downstream and dumps into the "boiling pot." You may decide to take a road trip and within 1/2 hour you can find yourself in Cooperstown and visiting the famous baseball Hall of Fame or the Farmers Museum. Many of our guest come here after dropping their child off to play baseball at Cooperstown Dreams Park. Parents love it!!! A simple and easy trip located just minutes from the New York State thruway makes for a nice get away week or weekend where you can relax for a bit enjoying the peacefulness of country living.

The cabin in tge woods was enchanting, cozy and perfect for our needs! Family loved the downtime playing games and relaxing. Wish we had better weather because we could see there was so much more to do. We will be back next year when we come through town again!

Cozy Cabin was perfect! Beautiful, quiet setting. I had the best sleep in a very long time. No planes flying overhead or traffic noise. Just peaceful country sounds.Very easy to get to and close to the Herkimer digs.Outhouse was clean and the shower was refreshing!

We had such a great time. We cooked on the grill, caught fish in the lake and sat the around the campfire. Harold was so fun to meet and talk to. We will return for sure! Great job thinking of everything, Harold!

Great place

This was an awesome little place to stay for the night as we visited cooperstown on our way up to the adirondacks. The property was amazing and our kids loved it!

Very quaint and cozy. Harry, our host, was amazing. Provided great fishing and a complimentary bottle of wine. It is an off grid cabin with exceptional service. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed here with our dog while our son was in Cooperstown for baseball. This was everything we wanted. Our hosts were wonderful, the location is beautiful, our stay was comfortable and we would stay here again in a heartbeat. The outdoor shower was amazing. We really enjoyed visiting with the animals on the farm. Fantastic experience all around.

Harry was such a pleasure to work things out with; I had planned a trip and ended up rather late on it, but had zero issues with communicating and getting the whole thing sorted. Great vibes and very reminiscent of farmland across the country. Be AWARE that the bathroom situation is as it is written: The outhouse is the sole bathroom, and it is very clean with modern seating arrangements, but just like a classic outhouse, it does not have running water. The place was brilliantly rustic and the stars shine amazingly at night. Coffee machine for k cups (provided) as well as tableware and a fridge. Bringing flashlights would help, but there are some provided as well. Also, the shower is a minute walk from the property you'll be staying at, attached to the barn on account of the running water. Fantastic stay, would do again!

The coziest of cabins

The cozy cabin is like spending the night in your dream fort as a kid. It’s glancing no running water and great if you can actually rough it. I loved it and can’t wait to come back!

The area surrounding the cabin was beautiful. Great fishing spot. Cabin itself was equipped with everything we needed and comfortably slept 5. Owner was very friendly, helpful, and easy to reach. Generator was enough to keep out phones alive for 2 nights. Great spot, will definitely be coming back.

Extremely clean, host was very quick to reply to my questions and even started a campfire for us. My husband fished while I enjoyed the wine we were left by the host. The “outdoor shower was amazing and the restroom was very clean. They thought of so many little things to help make our overnight comfortable …and the Golf course restaurant was outstanding- laid back atmosphere and you can wear shirts and t shirt. On our list of favorites now.

Cabin in the woos

The cabin is well kept with some nice touches. Be prepared for a "Glamping" experience - quiet surroundings in woods near a pond and farms. The webpage states one bathroom with image of tub & shower. The bathroom is an outhouse (clean and very serviceable) but no running water, tub or shower. If that suits your idea of a relaxing get away, then I can recommend it. Enjoy.

cozy cabin

My daughter and I really enjoyed the cozy cabin. The weather was extremely hot during our stay. We would recommend installing window screens upstairs so we can open the windows for cool air at night. Additionally, we couldn't get the ceiling lights to stay on; they kept flickering on and off. We suspect the hot weather might have been a factor. As a suggestion, perhaps having one or two lamps in addition to using the ceiling lights could be helpful. Thank you for allowing us to stay at the cozy cabin and for the wonderful wine. It was a fun experience for both of us.
