It's an airport hotel, so there isn't much around, but it's easy to get an uber somewhere if you want. The hotel was clean and the pool was nice. The breakfast was really good. Loved the aromatherapy body wash in the shower - plus it was a bulk dispenser so saved on the overpackaged single-use mini shampoo, etc. Would be more sustainable to also add a hand soap at the sink instead of an individually wrapped soap bar.
The airport shuttle is a little confusing. We didn't understand the instructions the hotel sent, and asked for clarification, and our questions were not answered. In the end we got a quick response from the whatsapp number when we landed at the airport and the wait wasn't too long. At the hotel, it's on a regular schedule to get back to the airport. This could easily be made much more clear.
Also we left something behind in our room, and were super stressed by the fact that the front desk has no means of communication with housekeeping. We had to wait till housekeeping was back the next day to find out if our stuff was found. It took four phone calls and a message on expedia to get an answer. A better CRM system needs to be implemented to log lost property for all teams to access. What if we had been flying back home and needed our stuff urgently? Thankfully we were still in Cancun, just at a different hotel, so it all worked out.
