Our family of four loved the retreat at the horse chalet! The decor, view, and location were lovely. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. We loved sitting on the deck for meals and watching the birds and play of light on Mt. Pisgah.There were a few minor issues--the kids loved the swing, but I hesitated to have them use it much, as the grass in the yard was very tall and I worried about ticks. The grass in the long driveway was also in need of mowing, and the bushes lining the drive needed to be trimmed. Inside the house, the dishwasher hadn't been unloaded, and the glasses remaining on the shelf were dusty and had dead bugs in them. There were mouse droppings in some drawers, on the floor, and on the dining table. Laundry had been left in the washer and dryer, which I had to unload to be able to wash our clothes, and which explained the shortage of dish towels. My husband and kids were uncomfortable with the window overlooking the bathroom from the steps--it seemed one would have to really try to look in, but it is possible. All things considered, however, we all loved our stay. And the stars at night were incredible! We'd definitely come back.
