Underbart boende

Vi hade en underbar vecka tillsammans med familjen. Fantastiskt hus och omgivning. Härliga bad i poolen och fina middagar. Här fanns allt vi behövde! Vi kommer gärna tillbaka!

We spent a wonderful week in the villa, exploring Torrox, Nerja and Competa. Everything is well set up with 2 bedrooms together downstairs with a shared bathroom which was perfect for us to be close to the kids. Upstairs, there is a master suite and another twin bedroom just down the hall, with its own bathroom. The terraces are lovely little sun traps but the outdoor kitchen and dining area is where we spent most of our time, as well as the pool, which was fine for our group of 6 but at times did feel a little crowded, especially with kids jumping and splashing. We were met by Elisa in Competa and she showed us the way up to the villa, which is tucked away off the main road between Competa and Canillas de Albaida. You should be aware that it is a long and winding road up from the motorway so be prepared for the drive, which takes about half an hour up a very twisty road after you exit at Algarrobo. The drive will not be for everyone, especially if you get car sick easily. Aside from that its a perfect villa with putstanding views across the wonderful landscapes and a great place to visit the ancient towns and villages in the area. Malaga is approximately an hour away, with Marbella about a 1hr45 drive.

Amazing stay

The villa is absolutely beautiful and is fully equipped with everything you need for your holiday. Elisa is super helpful, always at the end of the call or message if needed and even arranged taxi hire and table reservations for us. Highly recommend, thank you for an amazing holiday!

Cumpliendo expectativas

Somos un grupo de amigos que fuimos a esta casa para celebrar una nochevieja y aprovechar para ver pueblos cerca, y recorrer senderos. La casa cumplió con todas nuestras expectativas, tanto en todo lo que ofrecía, como la localización. Todo absolutamente limpio, agradable, con calefacción centralizada. En cuanto a la ubicación, tiene un camino accesible que permite caminar hasta Cómpeta y otro hacia Canillas de Albaida. En definitiva, nos vamos con muy buenas sensaciones, y con ganas de recomendar y repetir esta casa.

A restful break

We arrived after 9 days of active city breaks in Córdoba, Jerez and Ronda and it was good to be in a place that allowed us to essentially do nothing. Elisa was on hand to welcome us and show us around, and responded quickly and clearly to the few emailed queries we had during the week. The only thing that didn't meet our expectations when we arrived was that the listing says that the property is air conditioned, without making it clear that the air-conditioning is only in the bedrooms. We walked into Cómpeta and Canillas de Albaida on several occasions and found some nice places to eat (Restaurante Cerezo, Taberna Casa Paco and Restaurante El Pámpano all fed us well) while the local supermarkets (especially Supermercado Coviran in Cómpeta) were good enough for the days when we ate in the villa, which had everything we needed for cooking. There were only four of us, so we had plenty of space, but even with only four people we found that the layout of the lounge was not ideal, with just one sofa along one wall which made it difficult just to sit around and chat inside. Outside, we used the pool and the table tennis table a lot. We had thought it was worth paying extra for the pool to be heated, but the people from the previous week clearly hadn't because it took about three days for the pool to heat up. None of these minor points should take away from the fact that this was a lovely place to stay for a week and that we very much enjoyed our time there.

Beautiful Villa with breathtaking rural views

We stayed for 12 days at this lovely villa, and would definately return. A family of 10 with a mix of ages from teenage - adults. Elisa was a great host, organising taxis to and from the airport and was there to meet us on arrival. She was very responsive and easy to contact during our stay. The Villa itself is beautiful, very spacious, lots of different outdoors areas - nice shaded outside dining area with fully equipped BBQ - very well stocked with everything you would need. Great pool area with outdoor shower. Pool was cleaned 3 times during our stay. There are also securty gates on the property and space for several cars. Well equipped villa with airconditioning in all bedrooms, well stocked kitchen and utility room, 2 indoor fridge/ freezers and 1 outdoor fridge meant that we were able to stock up from the local supermarket in Competa. ( approx 4 mins in the car - there are 2 supermarkets - Dia and Eroski). Plenty of towels and outdoor seating around the villa. There were 10 sunbeds around the pool area with an additional 3 in the garage plus high chairs The outside seating areas on the 1st and 2nd floors provided the most amazing views of an evening for star gazing and watching the sunset. At the side of the villa there is a small path leading to Competa - takes approx 20 mins to walk. Nice views along the way. Competa is a nice little village with a Sat market and a few local restaurants to have breakfast or a cooling drink. Many Thanks Elisa xx

Super vacances

Elisa a été une hôtesse de qualité avec un merveilleux accueil a l'écoute et très souriante. Elle a toujours répondu à nos questions très rapidement. Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour. La maison est sublime et très bien entretenue. Maison très au calme, il faut prendre la voiture pas de commerce a proximité a pied. Seul petit bémol de la location est l'accès de la route à la maison, la route est un peu abîmée donc pour les voitures rabaissées c'est un peu compliqué, il faut faire attention et y aller doucement mais ce n'est pas impossible. Encore merci à Élisa pour ce séjour et félicitations pour votre très belle maison.

Det her hus må du ikke gå glip af🤗

Vi ankom til et meget rent, velholdt og veludstyret hus med den mest fantastiske beliggenhed. Vi var 10 personer i huset i alderen 1-77 år og alle havde en fantastisk uge. En lækker pool, et fantastisk udekøkken og en lækker overdækket terrasse. Competa har alt, hvad man har behov for af restauranter og dagligvareindkøbsmuligheder ( der er absolut ingen grund til at køre til en større by for at købe dagligvarer). Bag huset er der en meget fin vandresti til Competa og til Canillas de Albaida. Den er dog ikke klapvognvenlig de første 200 m. Prisniveauet på restauranter mm er lavt. værten Elisa er meget hjælpsom både før, under og efter opholdet. Hun svarer straks, man henvender sig. Et sted vi helt sikkert vender tilbage til😎🤗

Fantastic Property With Everything You Need

This property is as beautiful as the photos show. The outstanding feature is the outdoor kitchen and eating area with a BBQ and gas hob, dishwasher and fridge. As other reviews have stated, the kitchen equipment is very stocked and there are plenty of glasses and plates etc. In the outdoor kitchen there are additional plastic plates and glasses for use around the pool. We paid extra to have the pool heated and it was amazing and the children and adults spent a lot of time in the pool and jacuzzi. A point to note is that this villa is about an hour plus from the airport but it is up a very winding mountain road which can be very challenging when driving but once you have arrived and orientated yourself it's a prefect position. The town of Compete is only 5 minutes away by car and has 3 decent size supermarkets where you can buy everything you need. It's a lovely town with many restaurants and shops where you can go for coffee, drinks, tapas & souvenirs. We did drive down to Torrox on the second day to do a very big shop and then just used Competa for topping up (mainly ice and wine!). We also drove down to Nerja beach one day (about 1 hour 30 minutes) but it was very busy so we stayed in the villa for the rest of the holiday as we felt we had everything we needed anyway. Elisa, our Host was amazing before and during our stay. Anything that needed attention, she was straight onto it and resolved as soon as possible, thank you! We would definitely stay here again.

Villa canillas de Albaida

Stunning property which met all our expectations. Photos do not do this beautiful villa justice. Near both the villages of competa and canillas - about 10/15 minute walk and both villages are beautiful with plenty bars and restaurants - competa being the larger of the 2. We had a problem with the gate following stormy weather on our first night as it was very badly damaged and our host Elisa attended to this immediately. She was very helpful throughout our stay and had a friendly yet professional attitude. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she organised taxi transfer with Alberto from Malaga airport for my son and daughter. I actually hired a car but in future would use taxis as roads are very winding. My only comment would be a larger sofa in lounge or more comfortable chairs but beautiful weather meant we could spend most of our time outside. The views from the 2 upper terraces are wonderful and being surrounded by hills and mountains makes for a very relaxing holiday. We will hopefully definitely return

Beautiful Villa

Perfect, relaxing, getaway

What a beautiful villa! It is meticulously kept, indoors and out, extremely well stocked with dishes, glasses, sun loungers etc. for the 8 of us (adults) who stayed here for a week. Wonderful outdoor space, thoughtfully designed with a great outdoor kitchen and dining space; a 20 minute walk to Competa and a 12 minute walk to Canillas with some good local restaurants. Elisa responded immediately to our questions and I would not hesitate to highly recommend this villa.

Ultimate relaxation

Beautiful pool and gardens, rooms lovely, bed comfy, a little too high up the mountain than we realised but really lovely. Swimming in warm pool with a view of pine trees and surrounding mountains backed by beautiful blue skies and hot sun was the ultimate relaxation. Elisa was almost not to be seen but was on hand when we called - a perfect combination. We loved the master room picture windows.

Uovertruffen villa

Det smukkeste hus jeg nogensinde har lejet. En perle! Vi var fem par i villaen og det fungerede så fint. Rigtig dejligt at der var badeværelse til hvert værelse. Det største plus var det veludstyrede udekøkken, som blev benyttet hver dag. En stor tak til vores søde værtinde, som var meget serviceminded før og under opholdet. Mine varmeste anbefalinger til dette sted.

High spec villa in a quaint location

We stayed at the villa for 11 nights with 3 separate households and the villa was absolutely perfect for this. My nephew’s family with two under 2 had two bedrooms and a separate bathroom downstairs that they could also shut a door to the rest of the ground floor villa but still have easy access to the kitchen. My family had the first floor with two bedrooms one en suite and a seperate bathroom and it’s own terrace then my sister in law had the top floor again with her own bedroom, bathroom and terrace so there was plenty of personal space in the villa. The villa itself was spotlessly clean and designed to a high spec a refreshing change from the more traditional villas found in this area of Spain. The views were amazing and the pool/jacuzzi fantastic size for the daily ‘all in the pool’ fun. Elisa was easy to chat with both before and during our stay, quick to respond and nothing was too much trouble. We all had a 10/15min walk to Competa and whilst we couldn’t use the off road footpath due to the buggy and pram there was room on the roads to move out of the way of passing cars. It is about a 30 minute windy drive down to the coast but we did one big shop the day after arriving in Caleta de Velez where we went to both Aldi and Mercadona to get all we needed then we were able to just top up at Dia in Competa which was just 4 min drive to the car park which was just a minutes walk away from the supermarket. There were plenty of fridges and freezers to store our shopping too and keep our drinks chilled. We didn’t go out too much but Competa would have had lovely restaurants had we wanted to and Nerja about 40 minutes was great for a shopping and lunch fix. Lunch on the small marina in Caleta De Velez was lovely too on route to the airport on our last day. We would love to come back and would not hesitate to recommend!! Thank you Elisa for providing us with the perfect accommodation for our family holiday!

Superb week in the sun!

This is such a lovely villa, just as it looks in the photos and more. It is walking distance to the two local villages but the local taxi service was brilliant, so we used them for our nights out. Elisa was a fantastic host, patiently answering all of our queries from the time we booked until the day we left. We hope to return!

Fantastic villa, very helpful host.

The villa is everything you see in the images and more. It's clean and very well equipped. Our host was fantastic. They booked our Covid tests, booked taxis for us and visited us within minutes to help with a small problem we had. I really can't say enough good things about this place or the host - it's 100% recommended by us.

Great villa, great host

We had a wonderful stay at this villa. It was very clean and the host was very friendly. Would recommend coming here. The villa itself is up in the mountains which means that it will take you around 30min to get down to the beach. We didn't mind and the towns which are right around the corner (walking distance) are really cute, not very touristic and have great restaurants and plenty of supermarkets.
