This was the greatest stay!!! I HIGHLY recommend it! We have stayed a lot of places and this one was by far one of the best! We have a big family and they loved playing in the creek and enjoying all the amenities! We will for sure be back!

Wonderfully remote and peaceful

The property is amazing and wonderfully secluded. The drive is worth it. We had a little family getaway with our small kiddos and they loved running around the large property and especially playing in the beautiful creek right next to the home.

We came here to enjoy some family time and visit with family in Jefferson City with our children and grandchildren. The grandchildren absolutely LOVED playing in the creek, wandering around in the woods, playing tetherball, and making s'mores by the campfire. Everything we needed was here and there were plenty of beds for our group of 13! Thanks for sharing your cabin with our family! It was the perfect place for us! It’s beautiful here!

Great Spot for a Family Get-together!

The cabins were just right for our family get-together of ten! We really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. The four boys had so much fun playing in the creek and just running around. They said they never wanted to leave! We all enjoyed playing cards, board games, tetherball, ladder ball, and fishing as well as reading and relaxing in the hammocks. We will recommend it to friends and hopefully come back one day!

Beautiful

Fun décor, nice selection of games. Appreciate the hot shower, two friges, ample kitchen, nice large table, plenty of beds, bedding; *Beautiful surroundings*, creek running, nice hiking trail. Appreciate all the firewood!! We would recommend this great place and just might be back. Our favorite activities included: Ladder Ball, cards, games, time around the fire. Recommend Marysville House Historic Restaurant.

Perfect, relaxing vacation

Our four kiddos loved the outdoor time here—the creek gave them days of entertainment. We were all so relaxed and at peace during our five-day stay. An absolute recommendation for any family gathering! The cabin has everything one could need—a perfect setting and perfect vacation. Thank you, Jon, for thinking of everything! Queen of the Rosary, pray for us. Our favorite activities and recommendations: Creek! Hikes up the road, cost, chipmunks, loom weaving, magazines, baking goodies, coloring, Lincoln Logs, playing and praying in the church, sandbox and treehouse, board games, Tinker Toys.

Tranquil rustic cabin stay perfect for all ages

My mom used to stay at this cabin when she was younger, and Jon has done such an incredible job of keeping the property as peaceful and gorgeous as she remembered it. He is an all star host - so kind, welcoming and communicative. We felt so lucky to stay at his place. It is such a great place for families with all ages. There is a stream on the property, a bonfire pit that we used constantly, hikes and walks within walking distance, and trailheads to the continental divide within driving distance. We spent most of the time enjoying the property - whether it was playing games, grilling, sitting in the hammocks or enjoying the inside of the cabin and lounging around. The cabin was well stocked with lots of activities, outdoor games, bug spray, bear spray, and a well stocked kitchen. The peacefulness of Jons place truly felt like a reset for our family. We will absolutely be coming back next year, I can’t recommend his place enough!

Best vacation ever!

I am an older woman, stayed here alone, and couldn’t believe my luck to find this magical place. I would sit and walk and make a fool of myself dancing outside in the sun, the hail (for a few minutes), then the sun again, and nobody could see me but Nature! I found this place to be peaceful and tranquil and calming yet at the same time so very alive. This is truly a place of beauty! All of the creative, clever, loving touches, hidden gems, that the owners have put into this place were delightful to find — swings above the creek, bridges, little islands and hammocks and benches in surprising places. Inside, I felt quite at home with the owner’s loving touches, clean in every corner. Many pillows and comfortable places to sit or sleep throughout. I had fun playing some of their games. I think I talked to myself a lot as well :) I’m not a great cook, but it was easy to find everything I needed in their kitchen. So, I have been busy looking at my calendar for next year to find a place to rent it again - and maybe this time bring many others - for a retreat with classes or just for fun!

The description is completely accurate. Wonderful and nicely maintained old cabin with all the modern conveniences (dishwasher! internet!) in the middle of nowhere within the Helena NF. Saw as many moose as people (2 folks in one truck) over three nights. Lots of stars, the milky way and meteors to view. Jon was extremely helpful and communicative by text and email.
