Our air conditioner didnt work for the forst few hours. After they "repaired" it, the ac had to remain on incessantly. It caused us all to be extremely cold, at all times. In addition, the entry door didnt actually close or lock. Anyone could push the front door lightly and it would open... my 4 hear old included. There were dead bugs all over the hood above the stove.

Very Nice Getaway
Wonderful stay as always, this is our 4th time at this location. Quiet, peaceful, deer visiting in the mornings and evening. Access to the water for swimming and lake watching right on the property. Owner is very fast with any questions you may have.

Good value, lake is down but easy to access with float or Kayak…. When lake is up this place would be fantastic. Short drive to Whitewater Amphitheater , or to river.

Nice quiet comfy place to stay for the weekend. Only thing was we booked for convenience of boat ramp 2 and it was closed. Other than that it was a nice experience.

Don’t do it!
It took 2 calls to check in. No one in office. Room was very outdated but clean aside from the cockroach in the bathroom cabinet. View of the lake was great. Second night an entire family moved in next door, kids shook the entire building, and the parents sat outside ignoring kids. The whole building shook with every step next door! We were unable to sleep and had to leave at midnight. Night call manager took my call and offered a different room but I am sure all were equally bad and outdated. When I told him we expected a refund he said he couldn’t do that. Terrible, terrible stay and I am an easy going teacher just trying to get away for a few days! Don’t do it!

El lugar no tiene lujos, sin embargo tiene todo lo necesario para pasarla bien. Habitaciones amplias y limpias, vista al lago areas comunes acogedoras, venados en el area, botadero de lancha, etc. . No vi restaurantes cercanos y creo que ese seria mi unica observación.

Quaint and comfortable
The lodge is quite old but in fairly good condition. Not luxury by any means, but it met our needs for a clean, comfortable stay. The walls were thin so there was some noise. The property was beautiful, on a pretty lake. It was off the beaten path and we spotted several deer grazing in the vicinity.

Turkey Cove serves its purpose. It’s got old bones and a loud air conditioner, and you can hear neighbors but the scenery is great and people were friendly.

It was on the lake, pulled up, only guest there. Expedia said “one room available” very deceiving on their part. In need of remodeling, seemed clean, but we went in room and decided to stay elsewhere. For the same price we were able to stay at a nome brand hotel.

A lovely view of the lake. Windy road to get down to the lodge. We were there for a birthday gathering so we weren't really there to enjoy the lake area. We never had any interaction with the manager - they left a key for us and we put the key in the box when we left. The lodge is older but has been updated and the room was very clean. There is a huge outside area with picnic tables and lights for gatherings.

The Lodge at Turkey Cove is a great place to getaway on Canyon Lake. The owner John is awesome and the hotel is perfect. Highly recommend!

Older place - room okay, but the view is awesome.
Definitely older place - window unit, only, that had not been turned on prior to arrival! This should have been done once proprietor knew he had the room rented.

Great weekend getaway.
Hotel is older, but very clean. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The area is beautiful. Plenty of deer all around in the evening and morning hours.

Great location on the lake.
The location is nice. Love waking up and seeing the lake. The building itself is old and outdated. Basically a motor lodge similar to a Motel 6 in days past. Free wi-fi that’s hit and miss. Friendly staff.
