Villa Carpe Diem - large infinity pool, great boating location, tiki & kayaks

The name of the south-east facing luxury villa stands for an atmosphere of pure recreation and enjoyment of life. The 42 ft infinity pool with separate spa area makes this villa the perfect choice for swimmers and water-lovers.

The fabulous villa has a separate boat lift and a captain's walk as well as its own tiki hut to relax and enjoy the sun. Ideal for boaters due to the quick and easy access to the open water.
There are two separate sleeping areas on either side of the villa which is perfect for families with children. The villa has 3 master suites and 1 junior suite. All bedrooms have a private bathroom with double sink and separate toilet and the bathrooms of the two master bedrooms on each side of the villa are also equipped with a bathtub. All bedrooms have a flat-screen TV. Both master bedrooms have direct access to the lanai and pool area.

Do your daily business in the separate home office without disturbing your family. There is free high-speed wifi throughout the house. The spacious living room is open and has a modern kitchen with counter and bar stools and is also equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine (please bring your own capsules).

Next to it you find a large dining and living area featuring a large flat-screen TV with Apple TV and stereo sound system. For music fans, we have installed a speaker system from Sonos (Wi-Fi speaker) in the villa. This means you can listen to your favorite local radio stations or your own playlist via your mobile device in the house or pool area. Your guests have their own bathroom which is accessible from the living room and the pool area.
The gorgeous pool area is fully equipped with sun loungers, umbrellas, and an outdoor shower. The pool is operated without chlorine using a modern, skin-friendly salt technique. The covered lanai area has a spacious dining area with BBQ (gas grill) and a cozy chill-out zone. All rooms are full of light and equipped with contemporary furniture and decoration. The floors are high-quality laminate and tiles creating a warm and elegant atmosphere. Ideal for allergy sufferers!

In addition to the good house equipment, you will also find beach chairs, cooler and beach utensils for your trips in the garage.

The floor plans at the end of the photos provide a good impression of the room arrangement and size of the house.

NON-SMOKING VILLA - Smoking is permitted outdoors.
Out of consideration for guests with allergies, pets are not allowed. Thank you for your understanding.

We highly recommend you to rent a boat !! There is no boating license necessary in Florida and the boat rented from us will be right at your own boatdock to discover the beaches for example around Sanibel and Captiva. Dolphin sightings guaranteed. After your house booking you can set up a boat rental with us. We do have our own boats for rent.

The house is beautiful! Located near some of the best restaurants and grocery stores. Fort Myers beach is about 30 minutes and I highly recommend making the trip. The pool is amazing! Infinity overlooking water with a hot tub is one of the best things about the house. Kitchen is nice and open with everything you need to cook and stocked spices which was nice. Communication with the manager was easy and always responded quick. Very easy check in and check out! My family and I are already planning a return stay!

July 2022 Family Trip

The house was beautiful! We had a great week stay at the property. Sonja was very friendly and prompt with responses to our questions. Due to a thunderstorm that blew in part of the screen from the lanai broke open which allowed bugs to enter. Unfortunately it wasn’t able to be fixed for the remainder of our trip but we made due. Location was great, Short 20 minute to the beach with tons of beach accessories which was awesome. We would definitely stay there again.

Gorgeous and amazing pool home with 4 large master suits.

Wow what a perfect vacay home. This house has the wow factor! It was great for our family of 8 adults. We had the best time and did not want to leave. 4 large bedroom suits, huge kitchen-4 different coffee makers & well stocked, large family room, den and beautiful pool area. We were outside all day long enjoying the pool/spa. Management was extremely helpful with any questions. Thank you for renting out your beautiful home. We will be back again

Disappointing and misleading

The area is beautiful, most of the house was clean and looked pretty, the pool was fantastic with the infinity edge, but I couldn't ignore some of the things that left a terrible impression. As another reviewer mentioned, the platform beds are so uncomfortable that we left a night early, the mattresses are like plywood covered by grandmas lumpy quilt. The full trash bin was at the curb waiting to be picked up the whole time we were there so we had nowhere to put our trash bags. One of the bathrooms smelled of urine, perhaps from the dirty bowl brush or a spill that wasn't properly cleaned? And in one bedroom there's no way to darken the outside house lights or early morning sun due to the uncovered window at the top. The internet was sporadic and wouldn't support more than one device/TV at a time. But the cherry on top was not getting our full damage deposit back because they charged for electricity, which is NOT damage but should be included in the price of the rental. And listed no where in the contract. The owner was quite rude when I asked about it. Also - beware that the price listed is only for 2 people, but it sleeps 8 - so when you have more than 2 people staying in the 4 bedroom house there is an extra daily charge per person, which isn't clear until you're about to check out.

We had a wonderful stay, the house was beautiful, clean and the pool and spa area was also excellent. We cooked in the well stocked kitchen and enjoyed our evening’s out on the patio. It is a quiet area so perfect for relaxation. We will definitely be back to this property.

Simply Fabulous

We stayed here from Feb 14 to Feb 28, 2021. This place is simply fabulous in every way. Awesome. Literally. It's huge with four well appointed master bedrooms and can easily accurate three or four couples or a large family. As anyone can see from the photos, the place is gorgeous with top flight fixtures and the high ceilings. For us, the best features are the pool and patio area starting with the full sliding wall that allows you to open the place up entirely to the patio/pool area. The infinity pool is simply beautiful and serene. And the views from the deck/pool area are lush and picturesque. The location is superb. The back of the house facing east/southeast presents lovely sunrises. Moreover, the canal is unlike most in Cape Coral because is very wide and serves as a main artery for the various canals "up river” so to speak. So there is a fair amount of slow quiet boat traffic, from little fishing boats to amazing yachts to beautiful sail boats floating greatly adding to the feel and vibe of the place. And, then there’s the tiki hut on the canal which much to our delight has soft evening lighting where we enjoyed coffee in the morning, a glass of wine at sunset, and a bourbon (or three) late into the night. Clearly, the superlatives simply flow. I highly, highly recommend this to anyone seeking a special high-end stay. There is no way anyone would regret staying here. Indeed, I am deeply disappointed that it is already largely booked for next winter. One little word of caution: The cable TV is so basic it doesn’t include the common sports and news channels like ESPN, CNN, MSNBC, etc.. If you’re junkie for that sort of stuff, you might be disappointed, but perhaps there’s a work-around that I’m not tech savvy enough to figure out. On the other hand, this place is so special, you shouldn’t waste a minute watching TV. Finally, a compliment to the site manager, Patricia, is in order. She is very pleasant and exudes competence and efficiency, making our arrival and departure totally stress free.

Esthetically pleasing NOT luxury comfort

The house/decor were all esthetically pleasing to the eye but not all practical or luxurious as you would expect with the price of rental. The beds were awful. They are very worn, with lumps and sagging on all mattresses. The pillows were no better. Again at that price tag, you should be able to have more than a flat, polyester fill pillow. I am not sure what was going on with the flooring in the master bedroom by the pool, but when you walk across it, it sounds like your walking on bubble wrap. Kind of annoying in the middle of the night. The pool and hot tub are not able to heat simultaneously so if you want to use the pool with heat, the hot tub will be cool. The pool is also quite deep, so we were never able to get the pool to heat temp. The main reason for vacation is relaxation. Great sleep and amenities are essential to that and I did not feel as though that was met.

Wonderful family vacation

The property was better than the pictures, bigger than we expected. It was fully stocked with items we would normally have to pack or buy going to other homes. The pool and jacuzzi were not heated but it is being fixed. We rented a boat, which was lots of fun as first time boaters. The property manager was very responsive, helpful, and friendly. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend

Wonderful vacation in a great home!

We had a great time in this lovely home. They had everything that We could possibly need there including pool toys and two kayaks! Canal was nice and wide and we enjoyed watching the boats go in and out. Patricia was on top of everything. She was quick to help with any minor problem or question. A delight to work with. Plenty of towels and linens. And kitchen was equipped with great pots and pans, utensils and tableware. Do not hesitate to make your reservation. We look forward to visiting again.
