“There was a little problem with the parking being near a flight of stairs as my aunt uses a waker. A bigger problem was the TV did not work. The electricity was off in the morning. It went off at 6:45am was still off when we left at 10:30am so the was nothing hot including coffee for breakfast. I was told I would recieve a discount due to tv not working. Still have received no refund and it is almost a week.”

“The room was dated but clean, bed was not comfortable and for the love of Carl can you please give us more than one pillow that has at least a little integrity? No evelvator so be prepared to take your luggage up stairs. The worst part was we lost power in the middle of the night - not their fault but OOOF! It stayed off all night and all morning. We left very early down a very dark hallway and staircase as there was no way to get coffee or anything. Doubt I would return.”

“Waste of money. The hotel is only fully operational on the weekends. On weekdays, it functions like an Airbnb. This was never mentioned or communicated in advance, even though I spoke with someone on the phone to inquire about bringing my dog. Imagine my surprise to show up to a completely empty hotel. The location is wonderful as a rest stop, is next to an In-n-Out, and very close to the American River and wonderful natural hiking spots in Auburn! “Very basic and comfortable place to rest. This motel is on a very busy and loud(SUVs and motorcycles) corner at the gateway to the American River Rec. area. It is a very short stroll to Auburn historic downtown with pubs and excellent restaurants. It was Uber clean with a great shower. Somewhat worn but, again, location was excellent and wonderful helpful staff. Would definitely stay again.”

“Traveling with my brother, who is disabled can be very difficult for us. The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful. Unfortunately this hotel does not offer a 2 queen suite wheelchair accessible with a roll in shower. The first room was not going to work due to it having a tub/shower and they only had 1 shower bench available for guests, that was already being used. She walked with me to look at a few choices. My brother had a hard time getting into the bathroom, it was not handicap...

“The toilet in my room was broken took them four hours to get us in another room we were traveling and paid for three days in advance, trying to get a hold of management was almost impossible”

“There was no one there to check me in upon arrival! A closed sign on the office, pushed the button on there intercom system & all it did was ring, nobody ever answered. I called the phone # to no avail. The next day upon check in I was asked for a $100. deposit, of which I was unaware of. When asked why they were closed when I arrived the previous night the girl at the counter said, “I didn’t work last night”, no accountability was taken! There was mold in the shower & a non working coffee maker...

“So close to downtown while also being woodsy and whimsical - stay here. On Saturdays a train even comes through and brings you to a train museum. This place is Magical!”
