Dear Szczepan Thank you for your feedback. I am so sorry that you did not raise your concerns with me whilst you were staying here - that way I could have tried to resolve them. I would have given you a portable air cooler and shown you where the other 2 plugs are in the room where you stayed. I would have happily given you more alternatives for breakfast other than the fruit and yoghurts, muesli, meat platter, cheese platter, breads, muffins, preserves, avocado, quiche, juices, water, Nespresso coffees and the variety of teas that I serve every day. I agree that Simon's Town is much quieter and much less glamorous than Camps Bay or Clifton. It is usually chosen by nature enthusiasts, who enjoy kayaking, birding, diving, sailing, cycling, hiking & swimming. Simon's Town has a very interesting historical side and there are walking tours that highlight the naval and war history of the area. There is the South African Naval Museum, a Toy museum, the Simon's Town museum and a Heritage museum. The penguin colony, shark cage diving, pelagic cruises, whale watching and exploring the beauty of Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope - which is a natural world heritage site - are often what attract visitors to this area. I agree that Simon's Town does not have a very exciting sophisticated nightlife and I am sorry that you were unsuccessful in locating a local restaurant for dinner. Again, had I known, I could have suggested great alternatives about 15 minutes drive away. I know that a few of the local restaurants close at 4pm on Sunday and Monday, but they are all open until 10pm for the rest of the week. The local pub Two and Sixpence is open until after midnight. I am really sorry that your expectations of the area and the guesthouse were not met and we have taken on board your feedback so that we can improve these areas. Kind regards
