We arrived during an exceptionally foggy period (rare for October), which limited our use of the lovely deck. I would suggest you closely check the photos and the map on this site. The accomodations are quite small, and while the distance to town is listed as 10 minutes, we found the actual walk to be closer to 30+minutes, including a patch across Highway One, and definitely a challenge for those with mobility issues. Although we never met the hosts, their welcoming message, complete with a bottle of wine, was most gracious. And the cabin is beautifully sited, tucked away in the forest outside Carmel. We had a lovely time despite the cool weather, and Carmel remains one of our favorite spots for the amazing array of restaurants, galleries, and eccentric, charming architecture.
