Quiet place to get away.
Me and my Wife stayed here for a week and we had a great time. The owner communicated everything with us. It just a little past the main city which was nice it made the stay nice and quiet.

Awesome Property
We really enjoyed the main floor with the wonderful ocean view. Loved the wood paneled vaulted ceilings and all the windows and sky lights that let the light pour in. Enchanting. Beautiful artwork and decor as well with live plants and orchids. Weather during our stay did not allow for using the nice outside space on the deck. We didn't cook any meals, but the kitchen was well equipped. Bathroom supplies were abundant. We were surprised the bedrooms and main bath were all downstairs from the main level. The bedrooms were basic but comfortable.

Lovely home with a great view of the ocean!
This home was super clean and very well appointed with everything you could want or need during your stay. The decor was tasteful, the beds were comfortable and had nice featherbeds. The hot tub with robes provided and wood fireplace were nice on those chilly nights. The kitchen was a dream to cook and prepare family meals in. We enjoyed the abundant light throughout the upstairs and the view of the ocean. The living room was comfortable to read by the fire or play games with family. Overall, it was an enjoyable vacation home and we would definitely stay again!

Incredible Place

Peaceful hideaway
We celebrated Thanksgiving here and found the kitchen a perfect place for cooking with every needed utensil. The views of the oceans from the large windows and from the decks truly made the experience extra special. I appreciated the separation of living spaces. There is a table in the kitchen that was perfect for playing cards and doing puzzles, while the dining room overlooking the backyard offered another large table. The beds were located downstairs and this was nice for people who get up and go to bed at different times. The bedding was comfortable with different types of pillows and plenty of towels. Everything was very clean. I appreciated having a laundry room as well. My favorite times here were the mornings. The deck for the hot tub is located down a short pathway from the house and has lounge chairs. Sitting on that deck made me feel like I was in a treehouse because all I could see were the ocean and tree tops. Very peaceful place to enjoy a cup of tea. There is another deck right off the side of the house and we enjoyed meals and snacks there often while watching the sky change colors over the ocean. The ocean is a short drive away- the nearest beach is probably about a mile away, but our favorite beach was in Carmel about 4 miles away. This is a nice place to stay if you want to get away from the hustle and relax for a while.

Perfect View, Location, and Relaxation
This is the perfect place for those looking for amazing views and relaxation. The home was spotless and the online pictures are spot on. You will not want to leave the house, opting to spend your time out on the back deck drinking your coffee and eating meals... not to mention spending time in the separate private deck that has a hot tub and an outside shower. Bonus for birdwatchers - there are hummers, woodpeckers and stellar jays everywhere. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The home is like a designer showcase! Beautiful art, lovely plants and nice comfortable furnishings, both inside and out. The deck is wonderful with the view of the ocean. The kitchen has state of the art appliances and filled with everything you need. We also loved the location of being close to Carmel, Monterrey and a nice drive to Big Sur!

Lovely place for a cool getaway
My husband and I enjoyed our stay, we stayed for a week. House was exactly has described. Has a lovely view of the ocean and the property was pretty with so many plants and flowers. The house was clean, comfortable and a close drive to downtown Carmel and Monterey. There’s also a shopping center near by which was convenient. The drive up to the house is a little windy but didn’t take long to navigate our way there. Definitely use Karin’s directions. The neighborhood was quiet. Was nice sitting outside in the spa area too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Just be sure you carefully read the description of the property and amenities to make sure it’s right fit for you.

Incredibly beautiful and relaxing!
My wife and I have stayed at vrbo listings for many years, and this by far has been our best vacation. We were looking for a place with a view of the ocean, and we got that and so much more. We spent a lot of time on the deck eating dinner, reading books, and admiring the ocean sunsets. A beautiful hummingbird visited me daily to get the red flowers about a foot away from my lounge chair. I took a hot shower first thing in the morning on the private hot tub enclosure and then sat in the the hot tub to begin my day. We went on some great hikes in Point Lobos, Partington Cove, Andrew Molera, and the beach at Gerratapa and Carmel. We even used the complementary tickets provided to go the the Monterey Aquarium, really special. Lots of wood is provided and we had several warm fires as Carmel gets a bit chilled at night. As others have said, everything is provided you can imagine. Carmel about 10 minutes away had some great restaurants too. My wife and I wanted a chance to get away and connect and this sure fits the bill. We highly recommend this getaway!

Above and beyond!
That is how I would describe our stay. This home has every single detail that you could possibility imagine and more, much more. The kitchen had every single utensil, plate, baking dish, etc. so if you enjoy cooking this kitchen has everything you would need. The location is excellent, the view is spectacular. The private hot tub area is incredible, perfect for overlooking the ocean and star watching at night. We didn’t want to leave. The attention to detail was extremely impressive.

We had a great time. The home is as lovely as the pictures. Try to arrive before dark as it is hard to find the turn offs after dark. Our GPS did not pick up a signal when we arrived. Bring slippers as this is a no shoes indoors house.

A restful retreat indeed
Given our druthers we’d probably still be on Karin’s deck watching the ocean and the bird life. It’s a lovely home with the deck and the hot tub being the highlights. As others have noted, other than the Hyatt, it’s not near restaurants or shops and the driveway is somewhat daunting but Karin gave us plenty of tips on grocery shopping so we were well prepared to use her excellently equipped kitchen.

Carmel trip
We had a lovely time at this beautiful house in the Carmel Highlands. The host lives on site and popped out upon our arrival to meet us and show us the house.. The house is beautiful, comfortable and has everything you need. The deck and hot tub with ocean view were the highlights. The only negatives are that the drive to the house is curvy and steep and the house is not within walking distance to downtown or to any restaurants or activities. Overall a great place to stay.

Beautiful modern home with stunning views of the Ocean hidden in the Carmel Hills. Our host Karin was waiting for us on arrival and gave us a tour of her beautiful home, she catered for our every need. The house is large, beautiful and peaceful, and the hot tub is a fantastic addition at the end of the garden. Also need to mention the beautiful ocean views from the balcony! Location is convenient and 10 mins from shops and Carmel beach.

Amazing property, stunning views!
My husband and I stayed here during our 15 year wedding anniversary. The views were breathtaking but the property was much larger and comfortable than expected. The entire property was well stocked with everything needed in the kitchen, plenty of towels, robes, and comfort throughout. Karin was gracious and left well detailed instructions for us. Wonderful place in the central CA coast
Karin’s place is awesome. The property is outfitted better than any VRBO that we’ve ever stayed in. The seclusion and privacy is fantastic. The home itself has all the makings of a quaint and romantic getaway - incredible view of the ocean, hot tub, outdoor shower, and private decks. Quality Outdoor chairs, umbrellas, etc are a huge plus. Sitting on either deck or in the hot tub at night listening to the ocean waves under the stars was wonderful. You are far enough away from Carmel for it to be very peaceful but close enough (10 mins max) to be very convenient. If you haven’t been to Carmel you should add it to your bucket list. It shot to the top of our most favorite place to visit and relax. The restaurant choices are great. As well - a drive to Big Sur is beautiful. It’s as breathtaking as the Tetons. We will definitely be back.

The property and it's location are spectacular. The view from the deck is really great. It's perfectly secluded, for quiet and comfort. Kitchen is well equipped for dinners in, property is located about 10 minutes from Downtown Carmel (for dinners OUT). A real find. We had a terrific stay!

Excellent - more like House sitting than VRBO!
This is a hidden gem! Karin has outfitted this place so well it feels more like you are house sitting at your best friend's house (who has far better taste.) We've stayed at many vacation rentals and this is by far the best outfitted place in terms of feeling like a home and having MORE than you could want. Karin's attention-to-detail is amazing. You can SEE and HEAR the ocean depending on how the tide it. It is so relaxing and inviting. The hot tub is first rate and completely private. It has a real HOT shower. We plan to return!

California Dreamin'
Karin was waiting for us upon arrival and presented all of the amenities to appreciate for our stay in Carmel Highlands. This property lived up to our expectations and more. The rooms were well appointed and spacious. We have visited the Highlands in the past, but spent more time at this lovely home enjoying the beautiful view of the Pacific and variety of birds that visited us on the expansive deck. Just a few of the many reasons that made it difficult to leave this lovely home. Karin was a gracious host and very accommodating. Beautiful home in great location!
This is a beautiful home through and through! It's in a perfect location to get into town but also easy to explore the Big Sur area to the south. You can see the ocean and hear the waves from the deck and hot tub. The home is extremely well stocked with everything you need!! Communication with the owner was easy and she was very quick to respond to questions. The beds were super comfortable, too! Our one wish would be to have a second full bathroom in the home. Otherwise this place is perfect and you can't go wrong!

Short Stay in Carmel
We greatly enjoyed the property for our visit to Carmel and recommend it for a small group. The views from the deck were spectacular but we didn’t have time for the hot tub because of our schedule however it looked fantastic. The bedrooms could use some updates but overall a great experience. If we visit again, we would put it on our short list.
