If you love fish and chips, there’s the very popular local chip shop a short walk away from the apartment. Conveniently located between Kendal and Carnforth, the medieval market town of Milnthorpe is only a 10-minute drive away, here you can find a small supermarket, petrol station, four takeaways and three pubs. Levens Hall and Gardens is a 20-minute drive from the apartment, being famous for the world’s oldest Topiary Gardens with a wonderful café, also very popular with locals, serving delicious home cooked food. The rest of the Lake District National Park, including Bowness and Windermere, is a mere 30 minutes’ drive away, and the Yorkshire Dales, with the popular market town of Kirkby Lonsdale and the water falls at Ingleton, a similar distance.

This apartment is so homely you may never want to leave, but just in case you do, you will simply be spoilt for choice for things to see and do in this area. If you enjoy walking, you can walk to Arnside Knott from here, where you can experience the most spectacular views, some of the best sunsets have been recorded in Arnside and Silverdale..
