“What a terrific spot! The bar was comfy, and cosy; the room clean, and tastefully decorated with a comfy bed, and wonderful view of the viaduct and Whernside. And, the fish & chips - exceptional! For us, the staff made our stay, Will, Courtney, Angela, & Val, couldn't do enough for us, despite a very busy bank holiday weekend. Thank you, we had a great evening and a cracking breakfast to boot.”

“The hotel was on the main street with shops and pubs all in walking distance. We were able to eat and drink at the Red Dragon. The only drawback was no on site parking so the car had to be left about 10 minutes walk away. This was the only issue the rest was great.”

There were limitations on what we could have both on the food and drink side due to delivery issues. My and I were are aware that there was music being played when we went to bed, but I did not really interfere with us getting to sleep. Eat plugs were provided which my wife used. “The restaurant was good ,decor was lovely Staff very friendly Breakfast fantastic ,one of the best I have had Room very basic ,but clean .Maybe not all rooms are the same ,we were room 3. Nice touch with tea coffee and biscuits in room Bathroom very good size Bed was uncomfortable Main issue was no sleep from noise from M6 Needs better double glazing Lovely area to walk along canal after breakfast Real downside ,no sleep”
