  • Welcome to The Turquoise Turtle! Just over the line into Kure Beach, this beautiful, brightly colored girl points her head towards the ocean awaiting your next adventure.
    The Turtle is a newer Construction (2019) , second row, single family home with unobstructed ocean views, a private in-ground pool (not heated) and hot tub! Handicap accessible, public beach access is directly across from the driveway so no need to dread hauling all your beach gear on a long journey. We also supply a beach wagon to ease the walk!
    Enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktails on any of the 4 decks and take in the ocean breezes with breathtaking sunrise and sunsets. Designed for entertainment, our home boasts a private in ground pool featuring LED lights and bar area and 2 separate living areas for everyone to spread out and relax. The downstairs area is stocked with kid friendly board games and a TV.
    With 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, there's plenty of room to accommodate the largest of families. Each bedroom is equipped with a digital clock/sound machine and outlet with USB/USB-C plugs.
    The beach access has minimal public parking spots so you will find this stretch of beach to be extremely quiet and less populated than most other areas on the island.
    Pool and hot tub area feature lounge chairs, swim accessories in the storage closet, propane grill, shower/foot wash, and a convenient ground level half bath.

    Carolina Beach is a family friendly beach town with pizza spots, coffee and ice cream shops, seafood restaurants, dive bars, and 2 grocery stores. You'll never have to (or want to) leave the island - but if you do, Wilmington is a short drive! During the summer there are free outdoor concerts and movies, a weekly Farmers Market, carnival rides / games, and Thursday night fireworks! Stroll the boardwalk and visit the famous Britt's donuts, head down to the Kure Beach pier, take a tour of Shark Tooth Island, visit the NC Aquarium or take in some local Civil War history at Fort Fisher. You can find new things to do every day or, of course, just relax on the beach and soak up the sun. You'll be glad you came to Pleasure Island you will want to come back year after year!
    The Turquoise Turtle sleeps 11 - maximum 8 adults comfortably. This is a non-smoking, pet free home.

What a beautiful stay! The house is so conveniently located with plenty to do and direct access to the beach didn’t across the street. The host was very friendly and responsive and helped us with any questions we had! The pool and hot tub were so nice when the day was too hot to be at the beach. We will definitely be back!

Our stay was fantastic; the property was super clean, the pool and hot tub were fantastic, and the location was perfect for a quick trip to the beach, which was super helpful with some young ones with us. We had some small issues that were quickly addressed by our host, and she called us and helped get everything rectified, which was super nice and alleviated any stress. We would definitely stay here again in the future if we were in the area. The check-in and check-out process were super quick, and we didn't have any issues finding the location or getting any needed items or food while here either. The location is only a mile from the major boardwalk area, which was nice for grabbing some snacks and ice cream.

Location! Location! Location! Great home located right across from easy beach access. Beautiful beach views. The two living spaces and many front/back porches make it easy to spread out. Was too cold for us to swim in the pool but we loved having the hot tub! Beds were very comfortable. Overall we had a great stay here and wouldn't hesitate to come back again!

Amazing! Exactly as described and more! Very clean, had essentials and beach toys and chairs. Very well maintained. Great view of the beach, especially for second row home! Added bonus was child gate and games. Pool and hot tub were great, even in early April. The owner was helpful and very responsive, though we had zero issues. We will book again!

The title says it all. My family and I all loved the house, beaches, and area. Perfect location, right across from the beach with a view. And when you’re done at the beach you can hit the pristine pool.

First, Megan was very communicative and helpful with anything we needed during our stay! Second, the view and location are perfect! You can look right out the front deck to see the ocean and the beach access is directly across the street! For those reasons alone I would book again! Third, the house is well stocked with towels, kitchen cooking essentials, and clean for a beach house! The pool was very clean and well maintained. We didn’t use the hot tub but I’m sure others will love that too! Lastly, the Turquoise Turtle is definitely worth the money for the beautiful spacious house with perfect location! Great for families with or without kids! 5 stars!Side note: bring your own condiments and food as the house only provided spices.

Absolutely perfect. Check in was simple. The property was spotless and the location is directly across from the beach. We had a couple of chilly nights, so the hot tub was a bonus. We did not brave the pool but it was beautiful and clean. We enjoyed several good restaurants within a 5-minute drive and of course the fort Fisher Park is about a 5-minute drive down the road. You are also 5 minutes from the ferry that will take you across to Southport for even more restaurants. Great location on the island for just about anything that you want to do.

We had a wonderful week at this house ! It was super clean , well stocked with everything you could need at the beach . We had 3 children under 3 and the pool was a life saver after beach days . Our view was absolutely beautiful even though this house is not ocean front the view from the top balcony offered an ocean view . The hosts were great , we had to call Megan for assistance with a blown fuse and she got back to us immediately and the problem was solved. We will be definitely staying here again , My whole family loved it , it was such an easy access to beach . Property was well maintained and we would give it a 10 star rating! Thank you hosts for the baby gate that is at the top of the stairs , it was such a plus with little kids ! We had a fantastic view of the fireworks also on the 4 th of July from the top deck !

Our new favorite house at our favorite beach

We just returned from a wonderful week at the Turquoise Turtle. It's a beautiful home. With the location directly across from the walkway to the beach, it may as well be 1st row. The pool and hot tub are very nice and were enjoyed immensely by my family. Plenty of seating for all 9 of us. it was wonderful having the 2nd living area so my grandsons could hang out there and have their own space while the adults enjoyed it upstairs. We will definitely be back.
