“The location was the only redeeming quality of this motel. Lots of people smoking outside, so the AC was pulling smoke smell into the room (which already reeked of smoke). The bathroom had a moldy ceiling and part of the wall was damaged and falling apart. Room doors go directly to outside, so I would call this a motel, not a hotel anyway. We had booked two nights, and only stayed one (we should have left immediately).”

“The lady at the Front Desk named Amy was for sure the best part about the stay here. She was incredibly kind and thoughtful and helped us with anything that we needed. If I were the owner, I would do anything to keep her as an employee. The room itself was clean, and the beds were very comfortable. “Dirty pillow cases, missing basic room equipment, broken bathroom, probably was given the worst room in the hotel. Itching all night, afraid if there were any bed bugs. I don’t even think the bedsheets were changed before we entered the room…”

“Left for the day and came back to my bed not changed nor fresh towels were brought. I had to go and get sheets for my bed and towels for my room. Then was questioned, "why I didn't call earlier that morning to report it?" "Well, mama, I have been here since this morning and just got back."”

“I feel like I got catfished. We were in Dayton for an impromptu baseball tournament and needed a place to stay for one night. Pool - was outside, this place is in hood and has live in residences. Did not feel safe although it was close to everything. Breakfast - they served biscuits, toast, and waffles and cereal. The juice machine wasn’t working and needed changing. “The room was infested with cockroaches and there was no ac or heater in there. It was just a run down motel”

“The clerk at the counter, Leo, was very helpful and patient. We asked to switch rooms once and he also helped us figure out the ac! Our room was decent, small, but fine. The bed was extremely squeaky even when you were still! And the ac housing was a bit dirty. Also, for two adults, there were only enough towels for one. For the price, it was acceptable.”

“It's a 2* property so you are going to get what you pay for. The check-in was great, very helpful person on the desk. There's plenty of parking. The property is showing its age. It could do with a general refresh. The room was OK, plenty of space and it was clean. The bedding, shower curtain and towels could all do with replacing....someone had burnt a couple of holes in the cover of the bedding, the shower curtain was stained and the towels should have been replaced awhile ago.”

“First time staying at a Spark. And it will be the last time. No hot breakfast and the adverstised "bagel bar" was a joke. This was nothing more than a continental breakfast. We ended up eating breakfast out each day. The pool was something I always look for when I book. They had one. It had a film along the top that you could see easily. Nobody ever went it. My son and I had been looking forward to the pool. We weren't going to risk being exposed to whatever that was.”
