## Emplacement
Located between Saint-Tropez and Le Lavandou, Cavalaire-sur-Mer is a charming seaside resort on the Mediterranean coast. This commune of the Var, surrounded by the Cap Cavalaire and the Cap Lardier, is built on an ancient Greek colony and owes its fame to its long sandy beach and its various creeks. The city also had its moment of glory during the Allied landings in Provence in 1944, as it was the scene of important American military operations. Nowadays, the city is mainly oriented towards tourism and has a certified nautical resort with numerous activities for all ages. It also benefits from the attraction of nearby tourist towns like Ramatuelle. The gastronomy of Cavalaire-sur-Mer and its region seduces tourists, with notably the wines from the Var vineyards, honey, tapenade, or the famous "tarte tropézienne" which comes from the next town.
