Nestled along Florida’s Nature Coast, Island Place Condominiums offer a serene island escape surrounded by the natural beauty of Cedar Key. Located directly on the Gulf within a true nature preserve, the property is framed by swaying palms, warm Gulf breezes, and tranquil coastal scenery—an ideal setting to relax, reconnect, and unwind.

Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway or a fun coastal vacation, Island Place provides an exceptional blend of comfort, charm, and location. The complex is thoughtfully designed to reflect the historic character of Cedar Key while offering modern conveniences. Guests are perfectly situated next to the city marina and just steps from local restaurants, shops, art galleries, and the grocery store—no car required.

Additional Information:
• Grills are park-style and located at the end of the complex. Please bring your own utensils, charcoal, grill brush, and lighter fluid.
• No boat parking is available onsite. Public boat parking is located one block east or two blocks north, behind the museum.

Independence Day

Enjoyed the property. Hung out in the pool and loved how close it is to downtown. Great view of the fireworks! This is our 5 stay in this unit and 7 stay at this property.

Exploring a new place

In town for a bicycling event in Chiefland, and since the 2 hotels there have terrible reviews thought we’d commute to/from the key. Cedar Key is a great little spot with nearly anything you’d want for a getaway. The little local grocery was surprisingly well stocked. The property was as advertised and had everything we needed (for the two of us). Very clean, nicely decorated, and well appointed. The bad - this is a downstairs unit and the very loud large people staying above us apparently had no concern for their all hours stomping. Second, on two occasions (when trying to park in our reserved spot) there were huge boats with tow vehicles parked against the building which made it nearly impossible to get in/out of parking. Had we been in one of our larger vehicles we would be stuck. Last - this is apparently a very “kid friendly” property so there is lots of activity and noise (it’s adjacent to the pool area). Families with kids would be right at home. None of the negatives really have much to do with the property itself - it’s quite nice, but if you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway this may not check the box. The boat parking is “prohibited”and seems well enough posted, but not well enough enforced. Lots of boat parking is available a couple hundred feet away but it didn’t stop the inconsiderates from blocking the lot.

Little Town with a lot of Charm

Great little property within walking distance of all the action. It was clean, well appointed and smelled good. We rented a golf cart from George at Gulf Kart Rentals. We didn't need it to get to the restaurants, but it was fun to catch a breeze and a sunset on. Fun place!

Whole package in one

The stay was amazing. The vrbo is right on the waterfront next to the pool. Amazing views. Everything was with in walking distance. There were 3 of us and we had plenty of room. Kitchen was stock well to cook in. We had a last minute request and the host was gracious enough to oblige us. Clean place. Also had games to play.

Quiet Getaway!

We absolutely love this condo! There are so many things that make this a great place to stay starting with the assigned parking. The condo is very nicely decorated with a light beachy decor. A well stocked kitchen and the washer and dryer are a huge plus as we are traveling. We walked to the pier and checked out the little shops and had lunch, and then ended every evening watching the sunset from the pier. We are so glad we had a chance to stay here and will definitely be back the next time we get to Florida!

We loved Cedar Key. Our only complaint is we didn’t stay longer. The unit was beautiful, clean, cozy and the location was convenient. The town is adorable and everyone was so friendly & welcoming. This is truly a hidden gem. We hope to return soon. Thanks for sharing your beautiful place😀

Clean, well done condo in convenient location!

Stayed with our family here and were impressed with the efficient use of space. The unit was clean and had everything we needed and they included helpful touches that made it even more functional like plenty of hooks to hang keys, towels, bathing suits, etc and baskets to hold food. We enjoyed the pool and playing in the sand too. Overall, it was the perfect walkable location!!
