  • En resa tillbaka i tiden; denna rustika Cedar Key stil reträtt semester hyra i Cedar Key, Florida har många moderna bekvämligheter. Vi har Wi-Fi, skålen nätverk TV, 1. 5 badrum med dusch, tvättmaskin / torktumlare, tre bekväma sovrum (drottning, full, 2 tvillingar) Komplett modernt kök, fönster enhet stil AC / värme, utedörr dusch för att duscha av salt och sand.
    Vårt hus är rent. Våra sängar är bekväma (alla sängkläder levereras). Allt detta är inrymt i ett äldre, kanske historiskt, Cedar Key stuga hem. Nämnde jag att vi hade en verandosving. Vi gör. och gungan är på en skärmad veranda. Du kanske bara vill koppla av där. Sätt den verkliga världen på bakbrännaren i några dagar på Pete's Retreat Cedar Key.
    Ja, fönstren kan vara gamla, dörrarna kan fastna, golven kanske lite ojämna; vi talar inte om lyx här, men minnen du kommer att göra vid Pete's Retreat Cedar Key kommer mer än att göra för dessa knäppa egenskaper. Vi lovar.
    Så ladda upp dina kajaker och kom över till Floridas lugna, naturliga kust. Du kan också hyra dina kajaker här i stan och få dem levererade till huset. Strandområdet för sjösättning ligger i närheten och skyddas av mangrover. När du har lanserat kan du säkert lämna båtarna där under din vistelse. Möjligheterna är oändliga för paddlaren med miles av bakvatten eller öppna Gulf paddling. Kajakfiske är också gränslöst i vattnet i Cedar Key. Fisken du fångar är varierad; Kattfisk, öring, vitling, röd fisk för att nämna några. Dessutom har Pets gäster tillgång till en brygga i närheten för fiske. Bryggan delas av cirka sex andra enheter och gästerna där.
    På Pete's Retreat ber vi att du inte röker varken inne i huset eller på verandan. Trädgården är acceptabel, men snälla släng inte skotten på marken. Håll trädgården fri från skräp.
    Gården är rymlig, men vi kan inte tillåta att några husvagnar ska parkeras. Förlåt.
    Vi älskar husdjur och husdjursägare och tillåter ett husdjur. Vi begär dock att du bara tar med dig ett husdjur (inga katter). Husdjuret bör vara under 30 kilo och tränat. Det kommer att bli en avgift på 50 $ för ditt husdjur.

We absolutely loved this house! So adorable and comfortable for our family of 4. The front porch swing is my favorite place for an afternoon wine or a morning coffee. So conveniently located to everything we need. Will definitely stay again!

Relaxing time in Cedar Key

Pete's Retreat was just perfect for a few days in Cedar Key. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our time there. We would definitely stay again next time we visit.

A quiet place to relax in.

A very relaxing time! The cottage was clean, well equipped and very user friendly. We absolutely loved the porch and the gentle breeze we experienced throughout our stay. The town was not completely open as we were there during the week. We plan on returning someday.

A Cedar Key Favorite

We've been visiting Cedar Key once a year for 20 years now and I feel like we've stayed in half the houses on the island and most of the condos. But this little house is a favorite: comfortable, cute and quirky. It has that beautiful old-Florida look and feel, which we really appreciate, but enough modernization to still be comfortable for our family. Kids loved fishing off the dock, we all appreciated being able to launch our kayaks and getting to have the dogs there with us just made it all perfect. We will definitely be back

Cute & Cozy

We came for the Pirate Festival weekend. The location is within walking distance to all of downtown, which is nice. The property is cute & cozy. It could use a little updating in the furniture, as some of the wicker chairs are held together with tape...... The check-in is inconvenient, as you need to stop at the realty office to both pick up, & return, the key. We had 5 people staying there & they only have 1 key. Perhaps installing a lock box, for the key, at the actual property would be a great solution? Overall, we did enjoy our stay.

Really cute cottage!

Cottage was so cute! Front porch was the biggest plus but wicker porch chairs need replacing (you can’t really duct tape that type of chair!) The cottage advertised it sleeps 6… just be aware it would not sleep 6 adults, the bedroom with the full size bed would only fit one adult (or two small children). We had a great time and will definitely return again!

Very cute home away from home

The process of renting the property was easy, check-in was also easy.Upon arriving we took a short tour of the home as well as the property. Everything was very nice and very accommodating the front porch was amazing even though it was very hot outside. When we went to the back of the property I was a little puzzled because in the pictures it shows a path through the Mangroves to a beach? I was under the impression that the home backed up to a beach where there was a private walkway but this was not so. You had to walk to the townhomes next-door go down a small flight of about seven steps and then you had to walk across a board that was placed over some water and go through the mangroves which were not trimmed back to a small beach.They have canoes that you can use but none of us felt like going down a flight of small steps and going to the teeny tiny beach through the overgrown mangroves to launch. It is a cute little beach if you wanted to get some sun. Or launch canoes. The Home seem to have everything you needed to have a comfortable stay. Plenty of towels, and all the amenities needing to Stay. We arrived Friday afternoon and the check-in was not very far from the home which was nice. I do like that each room for the most part has its own air conditioner that you can program to make yourself comfortable. They have boxed games that you can play. As well as puzzles which was a nice plus. I’m a very clean person so Saturday evening I decided to wash all of the linens that we had used up to that point… That’s just who I am. Upon putting the items in the dryer I noticed a load of laundry in the dryer so I simply folded them and put them away.No biggie it happens. I re-staged the towels throughout the house and remade all of the beds except for the one that we stayed in which I stripped and put the sheets on top of the bed so they would know in housekeeping that they needed to be washed. On a sidenote when you go down through the mangroves to the little beach you absolutely need to wear bug spray because there were no See ins biting at our ankles, this is Florida after all just want to give out-of-state visitors a heads up. A lot has changed in Cedar key over the last several years and we miss places like Holey Moley and Kona Joes! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home! The Navarro Family

Cute spacious house.

Lovely porch. Large rooms. Great decor. Coffee pot warming tray rusty. Outlets in kitchen not working. Checked breakers. Still not working. Overhead kitchen light not working. Stove exhaust drips water when turned on. Saw roaches in kitchen. Second bath shower no hot water. Overall loved the house inspite of these issues. Location great.

Super ægte og hyggeligt sommerhus stemning.

Cedar Key og Petes Retreat har været en super oplevelse på vores rundtur i Florida. Endelig en følelse af autencitet og historie. Huset er gammelt og stemningsfyldt, men fremstår lyst, nymalet og rent. Lej en golfvogn, sejl kano og fang fisk!
