Beautiful house and trullo with stunning pool, close to Ceglie Messipica

A restored farmhouse and trullo, sleeps eight - four ensuite rooms, with a pool, great kitchen and bbq, lovely gardens of olive, fig and almond trees. Full air conditioning and fans in bedrooms and good wifi. A restorative and peaceful location with stunning views over olive groves and yet only a short drive to the nearest town - Ceglie Messipica, the centre of the slow food movement in Puglia with supermarkets, superb shops, restaurants and bars, all offering the best local food.

The house has four good sized bedrooms - two king, a double and a twin - all are ensuite, three are in the main house and one double is in the unique conical shaped trullo which adjoins the house but has its own entrance, ideal for those wanting a little separation from the main party. There is a large and airy kitchen with a electric and gas cooker, dishwasher, nespresso machine and two fridges. We are keen cooks so there are plenty of kitchen utensils to cook up the greatest feast! Leading out from the kitchen are garden doors to an outside eating area, covered for extra shade. The sitting room is a quiet spot for reading with comfy sofas for those wanting to escape the sun, a second sitting area leads off the kitchen, with a sofa in front of the wood-burning stove - for the winter months!

Outside there are plenty of places to dine and sit in shady spots. A favourite is under the pine trees looking out over the olive groves, outside the kitchen there is an outdoor table and a covered huge table by the pool close to the gas and wood BBQ and pizza oven.. At the opposite end of the pool there is a covered gazebo for sitting, a special spot for an evening sundowner plus a large chillout area area outside the trullo.

The pool is 8x5m with a shallow ledge along one side to enjoy the uninterrupted view. A double Bali bed offers the ultimate place to relax overlooking the pool. The pool is tended twice a week and a joy to swim in and take in the vista and peace. Down the hill from the pool is a yoga platform for those who wish to exercise and meditate.

The house has been designed to be as environmental sustainable as we can - the endless hot water comes from solar heating panels on the roof, capturing the power of the sun, we also light much of the outdoors with solar power. Our water comes from a natural source and should you visit in the winter the fire and burner, which heats the radiators, are fuelled by pellets made from the remains after olives are pressed for oil.
There are great walks from the house and beautiful cycle routes just metres from the entrance.
We can organise a cook if you wish, there are great beaches on both coasts, golf and lots of wine tasting experiences waiting for you.
The house is for a maximum of eight guests - it is a quite area and we do not permit parties or loud music.

Gardens - filled with fig, almond, pomegranate and olives trees, lawns by the pool and borders of lavender, rosemary and sage.

Wood-burning - stove and radiators in all rooms- cosy for those who visit in the winter months

Parking - Parking for several cars outside the house which has locked gates.

All linens and towels provided - including pool towels
