View spectacular house needs work

The views were magnificent. The setting of the house was perfect. However, the house needs a fair amount of work and could be cleaner. The views were worth the price. The house was not. It is in an association which was not specified in the listing. Numerous complaints about friends who live on the lake but not in the association, came over to visit during the day.

Slice of Heaven

This home is very spacious. There is room to spend time together and space to grab some alone time as well. We had 2 rainy days yet had so much fun in the game room playing pool and ping-pong. We prepared family dinners, as the kitchen was equipped with everything you need! The location on the lake is amazing and the home offers a large outdoor area with a flat sandy beach! This is a beautiful community of homes and we will be back!

Beautifull home. needs some TLC

The house was situated on a beautiful location overall. Upon entering the home there was a broken window. The doors were unlocked in which we never had keys to lock it up, so when ever we left we took our valuables with us. Upon arriving I had to clean bathrooms vacuum with a vacuum that was so clogged I had to get a stick to unclog it. Food and sand every where. The back bathroom was gross and very dated. It seemed like it hadn't been cleaned in months. There were also sewer flies coming out of sinks. Then the cleaning woman Lisa said she couldn't clean the house because their family was still there. She bad mouth the family and told me she wasn't Compensated properly. Time for a new house cleaner! Food was left in the refrigerator pots and pans must have come from goodwill. Owner did reach out to me and Said that she was horrified. For what we paid a night I would expect a clean house!! they did supply kayaks and Chairs for the beach. It was really a shame because the house was beautiful,

Lake Front Paradise

An incredible location where after a walk across a large grassy lawn you have access to a quiet private sandy beach with a beautiful view of the mountains. The water was shallow enough for children to be safe. There was a dock with two kayaks and life vests provided. The ping pong and pool tables provided plenty of entertainment along with many other lawn and board games that were available. There was comfortable seating indoors and out for relaxation and dining. The double shower was a hit with the kids.

Amazing, Tranquil Space!

My family and I had a wonderful experience here. The point of a true vacation is to “lose yourself” and we certainly did! The house was spacious and inviting, pool table and ping pong were a hit in the evenings. We kayaked with two on property, built amazing sand sculptures. Tied up our rental boat to floating docks immediately in front of the house. Had fires in the pit at night, walked a lot and grilled out for dinners all week. We fished, water skied, tubed, joy rode, you name it. Thank you for the space and very cool history we learned about the community we rented it. It’s much older than you think! 😊👍🏻

75th Birthday Celebration with Family

The location on the lake was ideal. Beautiful beachfront home with other homes & properties at a nice distance away. The sandy beach, kayaks, dock, Adirondack chairs, fire pit with chairs that were down by the beach were all used & were great. The spacious & well equipped kitchen was easy for making meals and the lovely sun porch & deck with grille were great for eating. On the one 1/2 rainy day we played ping pong, pool, and read. Comfortable & spacious inside. Our family had a most enjoyable time!

Beautiful family property with sandy beach and amazing lake

Enjoyed our time with our 3 sons - clear water lake , sandy bottom! Spacious cottage / family compound ! Lots of games - ping pong , billiards , kayaks etc ! Lovely neighbors and friendly small community right on the water - does not get any better !! Thank you :) from the Andersons

Great location and view- House needs better maintenance

This house has so much potential, and we mostly enjoyed our stay. The lakefront location is beautiful and so relaxing. There are 3 bedrooms, a game room with pool and ping pong, a spacious living room, dining porch, large lawn for outdoor games, fire pit, hammock, a deck with a table and lots of chairs, a sandy beach with Adirondack chairs, two kayaks and I repeat - a gorgeous view of the lake with the mountains beyond. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans and appliances and a large walk-in pantry. This is the largest house within the charming Weetamoe Shores community, and we paid a high price for our week there. We made our plans late when there were few good choices. I was nervous that this house had no reviews, but it was lakefront and looked pretty good. When I called the owner (he didn't respond to my message), he said they had no reviews because they had to get a new number from VRBO. Why was that? I asked for old reviews, but he never sent them. At this luxury price, the house should be much better maintained and equipped. I’ll give a few examples. Several light bulbs were out and the kitchen was particularly dark. We called the family member who was nearby the first night to at least find out how to turn on the under counter lights so that we could see to prepare our meal. She replied that they never used them. She did bring us bulbs the next day, and we found that once we replaced the bulb over the sink, along with the skylight bulb and the corner recessed bulb, that the undercounter lights worked too. The master bath had an updated new double shower, but only one side functioned. The master BR had a great big window with a beautiful view of the lake, but no shades or curtains, and the ceiling fan made such a terrible noise that we couldn’t use it. I got locked in the Master bath the first night even though I hadn’t locked the door. My husband had to rescue me with a multipurpose tool he wisely brought, and the owner duck taped the lock so it couldn’t happen again. There was a hole in the wall in another bedroom next to the bed with a sweatshirt stuffed in. It was wonderful to have the game room, but the pool cues had no tips and needed to be replaced. There were two kayaks, but only one adult sized paddle. No rafts or other floating devices were provided, although all the neighboring houses provided them to their renters. These are all things that can be fixed so that this spectacular property can be a spectacular rental.

Excellent location

The location of this rental is absolutely amazing. The property manager was responsive and accommodating. Game room was a blast, bikes and kayaks were left for our use which made the stay so much fun. The lake this house is on is really special, and the view from the house is breath taking. Happy with our stay.
