Welcome to Kennebec Lake! A perfect Winter Retreat where your stress will melt away in this spacious and serene space. Pristinely maintained this year round 5 bed 2 bath open concept bungalow has 4 walkouts to the beautiful deck that spans the length of the house. Explore the lake with paddle boards, kayaks, snowshoes, skate on the rink (weather permitting), jump on the trampoline & gather round the fire pit in any season to roast hotdogs & S'mores. Plan your stay & make great memories in any season! We welcome guests that will be respectful & show care for this family cottage.
Summer Rentals: Check in and Check out days are from Sunday - Sunday. These dates run from July 5, 2026 - September 3 2026. A 7-day minimum for summer rental dates is in effect.

By far the best VRBO we have ever stayed in. The facilities were incredible, and kitchen well stocked. The beds very comfortable and our kids had an absolute blast. Great hiking trails nearby for those interested. The host was incredible and accommodating. This surpassed all of my expectations. It was 11/10

If I could rate this any higher I would! This cottage is simply AMAZING! It is modern and beautifully decorated. It is also the best appointed place we have ever been to, with every detail of everything inside carefully thought of and provided. We were 4 adult couples and we had a fabulous time. Cathy, the host, is super friendly and excellent to deal with. We will definitely be coming back!

Overall, 2 weeks of quality family time. The cottage had everything! The location is great, on a relatively quiet lake. The host added little extras (snacks, lots of coffee). The kitchen was well equipped (just could use a long-handled BBQ basting brush, ha!). Excellent wi-fi bandwidth (teen social media and gaming well supported!). Multiple enclaves around the lake-side property for scenic variations and peace or party.

Excellent experience!

From booking to checkout, the experience was perfect. Cathy is beyond lovely and very responsive to all our questions and requests. The property is perfect. Its close to neighbours but you would never know. It feels very secluded and peaceful. Cathy really thought of every little detail. The front yard is big enough to play some soccar or set up a badminton net. The backyard is truly heaven. There is a large enough space for big groups but also plenty of small seating areas if you want to do your own thing. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants some time away in paradise.

Perfect spot

We needed a spot halfway between Brockville and Lindsay and this cottage was perfect. Beautifully decorated, very clean and spacious. Very well stocked with everything you need plus a few extra additions as a bonus (medical basket, back-up bathroom accessories, some pantry items). Very responsive and friendly hosts. All in all a wonderful experience. We will definitely stay here again.

The Lakehouse Review

This was a 5 Star vacation rental all around! We were a family of 3 generations and there was something for everyone! We loved sitting out on the large deck looking out over the water, my teenage granddaughter loved the excellent Wifi, my younger grandchildren loved the trampoline! The Lakehouse was very well equipped with all amenities and many nice touches like a S’mores bucket, a snack bucket and a wonderful coffee and tea bar! The bathrooms were very well stocked with towels, toilet paper and even a first aid kit! My only negative comment is that I would have really preferred one of the bathrooms to have a shower instead of a bath/shower combo. The 5 bedrooms are all on the same level as the kitchen / dining/ living room area. The Lakehouse has a beautiful view of the lake and has a very nice area for sitting and enjoying the outdoors! We all loved it!

Truly Remarkable!!

Staying at the Lake House was truly an exceptional experience for our family! We have stayed in many VRBO homes and this one provided by far the very best combination of layout, location and amenities. Cathy & Jeff truly exemplified “pride of ownership” by providing absolutely anything and everything one could possibly imagine visitors would desire while staying in their beautifully maintained home. Our family gathering was an opportunity to spend quality time together unwinding, reconnecting and doing a lot of cooking! At every turn, Cathy & Jeff’s home provided a truly seamless experience. From the smallest details, such as a fully loaded spice rack, to a wide variety of outdoor seating areas, we could have spent a month and rarely used the same area twice. Right from the arrival, the Lake House was exactly what we had all imagined as the ideal “Lakefront Cottage”. Elegant and well maintained, sitting on a lovely waterfront parcel of wooded land. The setting was idyllic in everyway. Inside, the bedrooms were large, well appointed, meticulously clean and elegantly decorated with the perfect blend of “Lake House” vibe, without the tacky or kitsch – no singing bass over the fireplace or book shelves made to look like a canoe. Communication with the owners, instructions on equipment use and space were smooth and always hospitable. We don’t want to give too much away, but suffice it to say this home is exceptional in so many ways and we are already planning our return.

Lakehouse on the Rock is such a lovely house. The hosts, Cathy & Jeff, have thought of *everything* in terms of amenities and nice touches to make your stay absolutely fabulous. I wish we could have stayed for the entire week instead of just a weekend!
