“Wonderful place right on Zocalo square with lovely rooftop restaurant, living up to advertised expectations. Friendly and very helpful staff. Also quiet to my surprise, even with window facing daytime busy street. We could sleep with window open :-) Free water and cafe for hotel guests adds to the benefits. Overall a great experience.”

“Everyone at Casa Donceles was extremely welcoming and accommodating. The room was also very clean and larger than we expected. Not to mention it is a very short walk to some of the best historic sites in the city. We will definitely consider staying here on future trips to CDMX. ”

“The hotel is beautiful. The staff is great, the only issue is the fact we arrived when there was a teacher strike going on that caused many streets to be blocked off. So getting to the hotel was difficult. But in no means their fault. They did everything possible to assist in making our stay as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately we did not get to do many of the plans we had due to the strike, basically the only good thing out of or vacation was the hotel.”

“We absolutely loved our stay here. Everything was really clean, the staff was very helpful and responsive. The aesthetics were top notch. You can tell everything was carefully thought out. The only thing we were not too fond of was the food. The view on the rooftop was so beautiful however so it made up for it . Def would recommend staying here ”

“The hotel is located in a brilliant spot. Easy access to shopping, the big square, the Mirador, museums, food etc etc. Easy to take a Tube/taxi to other areas. Staff friendly, reception, restaurant and cleaning services but the hotel is a bit "tired". The water pressure in the shower was extremly low, the floor in the room not wet wiped very well and the quality of the breakfast left things to wish (one beeing that scrabled eggs etc not hot). Slept alright and wi fi was working good.”

“This hotel has ruined me for all other hotels! This boutique hotel was a peak experience for our stay in Mexico City. It is located on a lovely, quiet street, only about a 10 minute walk to the historic city center sights of the Cathedral, the Zocalo, and Templo Mayor. The surrounding streets are pulsing with foot traffic and small shops. It is not tourist territory and it feels very safe, even as night falls. The hotel itself is gorgeous architecturally.”

“Great hotel. Perfect location. So clean. Normally they say you get what you pay for. But here I got more than I paid for.”

“The place is well-kept and clean, and the bedding is very nice. Unfortunately, there is a sewer smell in the lobby that seems to linger throughout the property (don't know if thats temporary, but it was very noticeable the 4 days of my stay). I did not feel welcome at all. The front desk staff is useless and far less efficient than at other properties at this price point. The bell staff was very helpful. Unfortunately, I will not be staying here again.”

“Our stay at the Umbral was excellent. The staff were friendly, professional, and attentive throughout our visit. The amenities were top-tier, and the restaurant attached to the hotel was outstanding and very convenient. The only minor criticism would be the scent used in the main lobby. It was a pleasant fragrance, but a bit overpowering at times. That said, it certainly wasn’t enough to affect our overall experience or rating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.”
