âCogne is simply beautiful. Small enough to be charming, big enough to stay busy and entertained. The Chateau Royal was a great home base. Centrally located, comfortable and we'll equipped. We originally booked two nights but added two more as it was such a great village with so much to do. We hiked, fished, rafted and paraglided plus catching some of the abundant castles and forts in the Sister Valley). This one is a do-over (we'll be back:-).â
âWe stayed for 3 nights in January and we are very pleased with our weekend. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the hotel atmosphere was relaxing. The free entrance to the spa was definitely a perk as well as the "tapas" that came with every beer order.
No problem walking to and from the ski lift, there is a short cut and it will take you 4 min to walk.
We absolutely recommend to stay here!â

The hotel is located about 8 km/5 miles west of Aosta and 32 km/20 miles east of Courmayeur. It is situated along the local main road (not the autostrada) next to the chateau with beautiful views of the chateau and surrounding mountains.
