James Island Airstream- Between Downtown & Folly Beach. Creekside Glamping!

Our recently renovated vintage 1976 Airstream Land Yacht is a cozy Glamper that has everything you'd need for a comfortable stay. Nestled next to our creek, you'll see water fowl galore while sipping your morning coffee in our outdoor seating area. Just 15 minutes to Folly Beach & 6 minutes to Downtown Charleston, we are in an ideal location for a fun Charleston getaway.

This cozy airstream can sleep four, but really is best for just two adults and two children, or two adults.

The entire airstream is for your use, as well as the outside sitting area on the front deck. The rest of the backyard is shared with our other guests. Please enjoy the picnic table, hot tub, grill and fire pit!

The Airstream is equipped with an AC unit to keep you cool in the summer, and a heater to keep you warm in the winter.

We live locally if you need anything or have any questions.

The cleaning fee is based on a "courteous guest". Any excessive dirtiness or neglect will accrue an additional $95 fee

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend in the airstream. Every morning we’d wake to baby geese and their mother coming into the yard from the water and was so cool to see.Sarah is extremely attentive, we felt very taken care of, while being left to experience the airstream ourselves.We stayed for 3 nights, and had to empty the gray water tank at the end of day two. Sarah gave great instructions, and it was incredibly simple and kind of fun to have a true RV-lite weekend.Parking is very generous, the wifi is great, and the yard was full of enjoyable things to do while we weren’t around town. I wouldn’t enjoy it as much if the airstream had more than the two of us. It is a large airstream, but still pretty tight. It was all part of the experience for us. We ended up using some of the linens on the twin beds on the larger bed. Having another sheet would’ve been nice but we definitely made it work well for us.Thanks again, Pursells, for providing an amazing place to stay during our short trip to Charleston.

I had such a great stay in this charming Airstream on James Island! Sarah was a fantastic host—friendly, responsive, and clearly thoughtful about every detail of the experience.I was in the area visiting family, and this ended up being the perfect little retreat. It truly felt like a peaceful escape, not like you’re right in the middle of a busy Charleston area, thanks to the beautiful, natural surroundings.I especially loved the campfire and hot tub—both were such a relaxing bonus at the end of the day. The kayaks are an awesome touch as well, even though we didn’t get a chance to use them this time.One of my favorite parts was just sitting with my coffee in the morning, watching the geese glide by on the water. It was quiet, scenic, and exactly what I needed.Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for something unique, cozy, and just a little removed from the hustle while still being close to everything.

The hot tub was super gross and unable to be used. The actual Airstream was cute and really nicely appointed, but I feel like if you list something as an amenity on the property, it should be available for use.

A really cute place and a fun change of pace! Lovely location right on the creek. I wouldn't recommend it for tall/large people, but if you're one of those people you might already know that campers can be a challenge. My friend and I slept in the two bunks in the back (there are also bunks on top for kids) and didn't use the table that converts to a larger bed. Lots of towels, blankets, comforters, etc. provided to make your stay cozy. The hot tub was really nice; fortunately, we had it all to ourselves. Our host was very responsive when we had an issue, and the tips they provided for local restaurants and things to do were SUPER helpful - we loved collecting shells (and shark teeth) at Demetre Park, seeing the holiday lights at James Island County Park, admiring the Ravenel Bridge from pretty much every angle, riding bikes on Folly Beach, and enjoying fresh seafood at Ellis Creek. Breakfast at Miller's All Day was probably the best meal I had all week. Overall, we had a fun time in Charleston, including our stay in the Airstream!

Amazing place to stay. Had a retro-nostalgia vibe from the airstream to the property being compared to a homestead, with chickens (no rooster) and big garden. The host even had fresh eggs in the fridge! Fire pit was lovely by the water at night. Other renters staying in the guest house and main house never made noises and you wouldn’t have even known there were other people. You could cook anything you wanted, the airstream has a very nice dual use toaster oven that can bake, toast, air fry, etc. We had a full breakfast every morning with bacon, eggs, and pancakes on the patio. We would stay here again, we enjoyed all of it.

Airstream was as pictured and we loved the camper. Unfortunately, we went during high heat so it was hard to enjoy the outside. My daughter and I are also private people so the shared outdoor space was a little awkward for us but we knew that might happen when we booked it. It was on the main road but we didn’t hear road noise while inside the camper. Would definitely recommend for a different experience.

This place was not as advertised. It’s in someone’s backyard. There was goose poop everywhere, the place was super hot the whole time, the immensities were not as described. The internet did not work and when I voiced my concerns to the owner they tried to make it as if it was something we did to make the place hot. The egg crate that was brought the same day we were to check in that was said to be “new” had what appeared to be poop stains on it when I asked about that I was told the topper was placed on the ground but was dusted off. It was very clear that it was poop and we were expected to sleep on that. She refused to give any of my money back and now I have made a formal complaint with vrbo.

Girls Trip Annual Vacation

We had a fabulous time on our very first ‘glamping’ trip! The airstream was clean, and we enjoyed the candy treats, popcorn and fresh farm eggs left for us! It was the perfect location to enjoy downtown Charleston, as well as nearby islands and beach towns! The owners were great in their communication with us before, during and after our stay! First stay in airstream

It was our first stay in an airstream. Property was clean and as-described. We enjoyed exploring Charleston and the surrounding area and property location was convenient to drive to various points of interest. We enjoyed the fresh eggs from the chickens on the property. Don't think we will stay in an airstream again, but that's just our personal preference.

My Husband and I stayed for 3 nights in the airstream which was super clean, cozy and comfortable, not to mention super cute and aesthetically pleasing! The little creek we were on had an abundance of wildlife for us to enjoy, including their chickens in the coop. The listing wasn’t super clear about where the airstream is located, it sits right in the back yard of the main house and guesthouse rental so doesn’t feel super private but worked out fine, we didn’t overlap with other tenants. The house was also on a pretty busy road that made leaving tricky with the amount of traffic. Sarah was a terrific host, very accommodating and friendly! We had a small insignificant issue that she quickly addressed and tried to remedy for us. I would recommend this host and rental!

Dream Come True

I’ve always dreamed of staying in an Airstream Camper. My dream came true during this stay. I came down to present at a conference at the College of Charleston. The Airstream couldn’t have been more perfect as a place to spend the night and as a location close to the CofC. We loved sitting outside and watching the sun rise. while drinking our morning coffee. The fresh eggs in the refrigerator and the box of Charleston Chews candy was a perfect complement to the stay. Thanks so much.

Perfect Spot

Cozy stay for our family. Our teen daughter enjoyed her own space at the back of airstream to read and see some creek views in the morning. My husband and I loved our coffee with some scenic views of wood ducks floating in back. This space was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our quick trip. It is perfectly located to downtown and Folly. Would definitely recommend!

Great Location with an Airstream Experience

We had a great two night stay in the airstream. The location was perfect. Close to Folly Beach and to Downtown Charleston. Walking distance to Harris Teeter (we drove). There are some good local restaurants too in the area.Our check-in was flawless and the airstream was actually a little more spacious than I was expecting. Things are compact but usable and friendly. Wish we could have enjoyed the outdoors but the weather prohibited us from taking advantage of the firepit, patio area and the canal. Even in cold weather (extremely cold for Charleston) the airstream was warm and comfortable. I would stay here again just for the location being so close to everything.
