Sparrows Nest was absolutely charming. It is immaculate with many little touches of luxury and comfort. We had a relaxing and enjoyable time. JD and Karen were lovely hosts and thought of so many little things to make our stay perfect.

Great stay and amazing rental! The host was perfect and even left us a treat. We loved all the little notes and helpful hints. Our dogs ended up staying home, but the house would have been great for them as well! Definitely recommend if you are visiting the Charleston area.

The house was beautiful and clean. The welcome gift was so thoughtful! The hosts really thought of everything, we had everything we could have ever needed. If I’m ever in the area again I will absolutely stay here again! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Best VRBO I’ve stayed in! So warm and cozy. Immaculately clean and well appointed. Loved the WV decor and all the special touches! Enjoyed the deck and watching the birds. Also loved the ultra soft bedding and the extra plush bath towels. Host thought of everything, and then some. Fantastic stay!

I have to say the Sparrow's nest is among the nicest properties I have stayed in. It is the spacious top floor of a new, two-story structure that has some garage/workspace below for the owner. I have stayed in a similar set-up in Vermont and it works well. The property is located in a low-key subdivision near Big Chimney and is just about 10 min north of downtown Charleston. Some steep roads lead you to the property which is at the end of a of cul de sac nestled among the trees.The place was *very* clean, modern appliances, everything in working order, thoughtful touches here and there, and a welcoming host...all to make for a very pleasant stay. I would definitely stay here again given the opportunity.

Very personable hosts, It was perfect ! Loved the special notes throughout the house and the bird feeder hosted a spectacular show of woodpecker, cardinals, blue Jays, sparrows and many more! Thanks for the memories!

Everything was super clean and tidy when we arrived. I loved the thoughtful touches by the host! House was very well stocked with spices and dishes if wanted to cook in the house. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone trying to go to the Charleston area that doesn’t want to be right downtown.

We came up to West Virginia for a mix of business and family time, and Sparrow’s Nest absolutely blew us away. The name fits this place perfectly — the wildlife presence is unreal. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we were tucked into our own little nature sanctuary.The property is peaceful, clean, and incredibly well‑kept. You can tell the owners put real care into every detail. Whether we were relaxing on the porch, watching the birds and deer move through the trees, or just enjoying the quiet, it felt like the perfect reset from everyday life.Even though this was partly a business trip, the setting made it feel like a true getaway. My family loved it, I loved it, and we’re already talking about coming back. If you’re looking for a place that blends comfort, privacy, and a genuine connection to nature, Sparrow’s Nest is exactly that.Highly recommend.

One of the most welcoming VRBOs I’ve ever stayed in. Our family was thrilled with the numerous amenities and well decorated spaces. We celebrated an early Christmas there and it fit our needs perfectly. From the spacious living area to the large dining room and the many snacks we could not have asked for more. Thank you.

The house was very clean, nicely decorated without being cluttered, and it wasn't stocked with garage sale leftovers. We have rented houses from Austin to Marco Island to Hilton Head, and this was one of our favorites.We will be back.
