Peaceful and Spacious Woodland Haven Near UVA

An oasis of woodland peace awaits your trip to Charlottesville! An easy and beautiful walk from UVA and John Paul Jones Arena, come home to this quiet and spacious 5-bedroom home in the highly desirable Rugby neighborhood.

City ordinance limits guest total to 6 adults and any number of children.

The upstairs has 3 bedrooms, an eat-in kitchen, a living room with dual fireplaces, a dining room, study, and two full baths.

Downstairs is great for kids or larger groups, with a TV area, a full bath, and two additional bedrooms. Plenty of space to spread out and make yourself at home! A large deck extends off the back for outdoor meals or reading under the shade of the old trees.

Well-behaved pets are welcome for an additional fee of $100, and there is a big backyard (though it is not pet-secured) for them to run around in if they join you! If you`re planning on bringing a pet, just let me know. Please keep pets off of all the furniture in the house.

I am nearby and always happy to assist if needed, but very respectful of your privacy!

The Rugby neighborhood is one of the oldest and most premier neighborhoods in Charlottesville. Grand homes grace wooded and gently sloping streets, just minutes from the bustle of the University.

Parking is easy and plentiful, but a robust public transportation system of buses and trolleys are available, as well as plentiful Ubers, Lyfts, and taxis!

It is an easy, less-than-a-mile walk to UVA, the lawn, and John Paul Jones Arena.

Successful Graduation Weekend

We rented this property for our daughter's graduation from UVA. Because of COVID, we had to change the dates and our Host, Miranda, was able to accommodate the change. The house has 5 BR and 10 people could have easily stayed the weekend, though we only had 4. We were able to host a nice cookout for our daughter and had a lovely time. The house has some quirks - some dated appliances and a finicky AC system - but is a pleasant place in a quiet neighborhood to escape the stress of graduation weekend. Thanks to Miranda for being an attentive Host.

Great for family gatherings

This house is in an excellent location -- a quiet street in a very nice neighborhood in the middle of C'ville. The layout of the house was perfect for our family of 6. The beds were very comfortable, and the linens and towels were new and nice. We were welcomed with wine, snacks and flowers. The house is on a hill sloping down from the street, and only accessible by a stairs, so this location would be problematic for anybody who doesn't do stairs well. There are a few maintenance issues that could be addressed with a date with a handyman, but nothing that was so problematic that it interfered with our very happy family gathering. Our communications with the property manager were excellent.

Great Location & Property

We had an excellent time at Miranda’s place. It was clean and very spacious. We enjoyed the back porch in the mornings and there were plenty of linens and sheets. Would love to stay again and it was in an excellent location to UVA.

Lovely!

We had 9 people in this house and had plenty of room to spread out. Plenty of street parking and very quiet neighborhood.

Family event in Charlottesville

Great location and Lots of space for our family to visit together which was important to us. Could use some updates- no outlets in one of the bathrooms, no toaster in the kitchen, not much lighting in the living room. There were crumbs in the panini press and dish ware that run the cabinet that had been thru the dishwasher but we’re not clean. Great communication with the owner but wasn’t clear that there was only street parking available (although there was plenty of that!)

Great family space

This was a great property for a family. Large living area to hangout. Nice separation of bedrooms. My only two complaints would be the tv downstairs did not seem to work. But this did not impact our stay. We also did not contact the owner for a solution as it was only needed for a short time. So this is really just a note for the owner. The only other issue would be the back doors had a few too many leaves and cobwebs piled up. Again not a huge issue for our stay. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful Property

We loved our stay! The house was very clean, comfortable, & beautiful inside & out. I also appreciated the snacks, sparkling water, & wine. We were less than 10 minutes from great restaurants & grocery stores (e.g., Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, & Kroger). We would definitely stay again.
