âThis is a superb renovation of a very old Manor House. The building is absolutely spectacular as are the rooms.
The owners are extremely friendly and very welcoming. â
âEtt underbart hotell i en liten pittoresk by. Klostret Ă€r enastĂ„ende och pĂ„ kvĂ€llen fick vi vara med om en ljusshow som var enastĂ„ende. DessvĂ€rre var restaurangen ( en stjĂ€rnig) fullbokad, sĂ„ vi fick bege oss in till by, dĂ€r vi blev positivt överraskad över den goda maten. Ett hotell att övernatta pĂ„, det lite höga priset till trotts. â
âWe had an absolutely wonderful stay at this castle. The host Loic and his nephew were very friendly and welcoming and the castle with its rooms were fantastic. We got a complimentary 1.5 hour tour of the castle and got to know more about its history and the knight who built it. Its been in the current owners family since the 16th century. I definately recommend staying here if you have the opportunity.â
âThis delightful old property in the countryside, with a welcoming host, diner was served in the garden & breakfast was very satisfying. We only stayed the one night while en-route through France, but could have stayed longer.â

âThere are always a few small things (our cold tap barely worked) but overall, this hotel was brilliant. Staff were friendly, spa was really well appointed and treatments were both very good and reasonably priced. Its location right on the river and in the heart of a tiny but bustling little village is idyllic. Room was spacious, comfortable bed, all the necessary accessories. Highly recommended

Eftersom byggnaderna Ă€r sĂ„ gamla och i sten finns det en viss lukt av fukt i utrymmena, men inget som stör sĂ„ mycket. ingen lyx, men vĂ€ldigt fint. jĂ€ttebra service och bra frukost. â
âAbsolutely spectacular. We really enjoyed our time at Chateau de Candes. Bertrand and Sam went out of their way to ensure that our stay was as comfortable as possible. Running this place is not easy but the family are doing their absolute best as custodians. They are fully dedicated and committed to making Chateau de Candes a success. Merci Bertrand et Sam. We will definitely be back.â
âWe enjoyed our stay here very much and would stay again. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was very comfortable. Enjoyed happy hour on the outdoor terrace - the bartender picked the strawberries off the plant growing in a pot and gave them to us - the best strawberries I've ever had! A cute little french bulldog appeared every now and then for fun and entertainment. Highly recommend. â

âVi tyckte att hotellet var vĂ€ldigt bra och att Chinon var en trevlig stad att bo i.TyvĂ€rr sĂ„ var det vĂ€ldigt varmt nĂ€r vi var dĂ€r (över 30 grader) och det fanns ingen luftkonditionering pĂ„ hotellet vilket var ganska jobbigt. Vi köpte dock en bordsflĂ€kt för att fĂ„ det lite drĂ€gligare. Hotellet har en restaurang med mat till bra priser. Personalen dĂ€r var bra men lite underdimensionerade, speciellt nĂ€r det kom stora sĂ€llskap som skulle Ă€ta.â
