“Our hosts were great, fabulous directions and early communication. Lovely welcome pack with effort made to have things made specifically for the place. All the amenities you could want. Bed was very comfy with lovely linens. Such a really fabulous romantic sanctuary, hidden away in beds of snowdrops, but within easy reach of everything you need. Great log burner, which really warms the place, with all the original features of a characterful property. ”

“The Royal George is a lovely pub and Inn. The food is fantastic and all staff could not have been more attentive and helpful. We had an upstairs room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard. Our room was very nicely appointed, spacious and quiet. Free parking was plentiful on the property (front and back lots). There is a small grocery store a ross the street. It is a beautiful area to walk around and a great base for exploring surrounding towns and attractions.”

“As a couple you should avoid Fridays and Saturdays. The noice level in the restaurant was more then average as there was many male golfers in the room. Loud and no respect for others. Nice staff, Big gym and pool but over crowded. Unfortunately the golf course was in worst condition with brown fairways and green looking like they did a paintover with green colour. Staying Sunday to Monday was much calmer and enjoyable. ”

“Sadly this property needs huge investment. The whole place is really tired. There was no on there to welcome us and they hadn’t sent us the door code so I had to phone twice before someone would pick up and then had to wait for the owner to arrive to let us in, not ideal after a long journey. We had a garden room - which had thread bare carpets with stains on, the most uncomfortable bed imaginable and it just felt dirty. I thought from the pictures this place looked ok, but I was very wrong...
