The food was very good & the staff great Very cold in our room when we arrived, not too pleased about that after a long journey & the internet was non exhistant in our room, but everything else was OK

Not good, not good at all !!
I arrived at the Hotel on the coldest night of the winter so far (predicted to be -5). I was given room 17 which is furthest from reception and the very last room down a long corridor. This meant two things: 1) furthest from router - I could not get any wifi 2) It was a very cold room to begin with. I was told that they had just turned to the room heating on and it would stay on until about 11pm. WRONG It went off about 6.30 pm. 3 power cuts later. I slept in all of clothes and socks as it was sooooo cold. Not a good experience all round ...

Countryside stay with good food
Cozy spot tucked away from the main city. Tasty breakfast included. Clean sheets and towels. Easy check-in with wonderfully friendly staff.

We really loved our stay at Bowes Incline. It sets a very high standard in all areas from staff friendliness, to the quality of finish in the rooms, their cleanliness and the quality of their food. We only wish that all of our stays were this good! The great experience started with the young lady on reception who was really friendly and helpful, and who doesn't love that liltting Geordie accent! The rooms have been well designed and simply styled with neutral colours. The food is outstanding, and we can see why it appears to be popular with the locals. The chef has some talent and imagination. The menu is varied and although we opted for the steak, they were perfectly cooked, and the meal arrived hot (something that doesn't always happen). Breakfast was fantastic, with a wide range of options, and generous portions. We'd highly recommend Bowes Incline to anyone wanting to stay in the Newcastle area.

Bowles incline
They were friendly and very helpful. The rooms were comfortable and well designed. The food is freshly prepared, restaurant clean and well spaced out. I had a wonderful night sleep and would go there again.

Throughly enjoyed our stay, excellent value and very friendly. I was to offer some critique it would be the cooked breakfast which was big and varied lacked a little quality. No hesitation to stay again or recommend

Comfortable and pleasant stay
I’ve stayed here a couple of times now and as usual was comfortable and pleasant. The food is typical pub grub, not fancy and breakfast is the same. The rooms are spot on and staff always friendly.

Hotel was fine for a 2 night stay. Comfortable bed and big shower cubicle. If I’m being ultra critical, the furniture was a bit tired but perfectly adequate. The staff were all friendly and efficient. Breakfast was well cooked and tasty.

Perfect little hotel
The hotel rooms are a good size, very clean and plenty of tea and coffee for your little kettle, extra pillows in the wardrobe and the shower was amazing! The bar area is also great although we spent most of our time in the little beer garden because of the heat! Breakfast was also great choice of several 'main' breakfasts (full english, eggs on toast or porridge) then a basic continental breakfast table with fruit, fruit juices, cereal, yoghurts and as much toast as you fancy :) Overall a lovely few nights away and one we will repeat if we find ourselves up that way again!

Nice place for an overnight.
Stayed overnight here as part of my regular trip down south. Room comfy clean and quiet despite the proximity to the A1, the team I interacted with all really welcoming and helpful. Evening meal in the pub next door was excellent, good choice of food on the menu and my choice was perfectly cooked and arrived promptly. Special mention to the chap who served my meal in the evening and was looking after breakfast and check out despite juggling about 100 tasks he was friendly and efficient.

Friendly service and good food.
The overriding side was good service and friendliness. The room was very comfortable although the shower was not great. The food was good and they went out of their way to provide things I could eat due to intolerances.
