I'll start with the good. Location is nice and peaceful. The bungalow is well laid out and there is plenty of room. Facilities inside the bungalow are good. Cooking and dining implements all there and lots of space. Bedrooms are nice and have plenty of storage for a short break. The garden is well maintained and enclosed although there is only 2 comfortable chairs and no swing or sofa. Parking around the back of the property is the best but you are encouraged to park at the front tucked in the corner for some reason. There was a lovely little basket of welcome food and a bottle of wine, and milk in the fridge.
The bad. The owners are dog lovers. There is an overwhelming stench as soon as you enter the property, mainly due to the fact that there are dog beds in the main spaces. They don't seem to have been washed ever, so they hold all the dog scent. I had to cut open an onion in the kitchen and place it where the dog bed was after taking both beds out and putting them in the porch. Every room is decorated with dog cushions, coasters or pictures. I honestly felt really ill for the first 2 hours in the property. I opened all the doors and windows. The cushions on the chairs are all badly soiled and inside the utensil drawer needs washing. The hot tub is not emptied between guests but instead is full of chlorine and has residue in the bottom of the hot tub :(. It is also overlooked by a house, which makes it uncomfortable to use. It could easily be screened.
