    Offering plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax, this serene and secluded, three-story lake house is the ideal getaway for all ages, no matter the season. Set right on Friends Lake, this recently built home blends a cozy Adirondack atmosphere with updated amenities from top-to-bottom. Start your days with breakfasts prepared in your well-equipped, full kitchen complete with stainless steel appliances and a breakfast bar.



    The Space:

    Then, dine together at the adjacent table for six before settling into one of two distinct living areas - one on the main level with a gas fireplace and a second on the lower level with a large sectional sofa and easy backyard access. Additionally, this home features a furnished sunroom, a deck overlooking the lake, a seasonal private dock, and a stone firepit with granite benches.



    And when it's time to say goodnight, this home offers four comfortable bedrooms with a main room off the kitchen with an en suite bath, two bedrooms on the third floor), and a fourth bedroom on the lower level.



    What's Nearby

    This vacation rental is located just five miles from the center of Chestertown, with restaurants, a theater, boutique shops, and a grocery store, as well as public tennis and basketball courts. The nearby southern Adirondacks provide access to a wide array of exciting destinations and hiking trails. Within an hour, you can see beautiful Blue Mountain Lake, attend concerts at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, witness live cannon firing at historic Fort Ticonderoga, or visit the scenic High Peaks area. For winter sports enthusiasts, Gore Mountain is only 17 miles away, while West Mountain is just 30 miles south.

Great stay at the lake house

We had a great time at the lake house and skied Gore for 2 days. The house was exactly as billed and we had plenty of room to relax after a day of skiing. Can’t wait to go back.

Weekend Get Away

The cabin is beautiful and had all the comforts of home! Great location and the views of the lake are breathtaking! The use of the kayaks was a great addition to the weekend as well! Will definitely book again!!! Thank you!

Lovely home with magnificent views!

This house is well located, between Gore Mountain for skiing and Lake George. The house is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The house is well equipped from the kitchen to books to read.

Whit’s End is amazing! Our family enjoyed the beautiful home, the snowy lake, and its close proximity to Gore Mountain and Lake Placid!!! The house is spotless and well-equipped. We hope to return next year!

Very clean and conveniently located

Our family of 7 (3 adults, 4 kids) thoroughly enjoyed our ski vacation staying at Whit's End! The house is right by the lake with a beautiful view all around. It's super clean and well stocked. The location is very convenient - about 25 min drive to Gore Mountain and 35 mins drive to Lake George. Overall a great experience!
