“Ideally situated close to the centre of Berwick Upon Tweed. Excellent value for money. Compact room with small double bed, comfortable enough but a bit creaky. TV, Kettle and fridge in room aswell as a hairdryer. A few minor issues that could be improved upon are; TV is ok if you are connecting somwthing to it but the signal for the digital channels is terrible. “We loved this place! Perfect location and we got the top floor of the house to ourselves. Very clean everywhere, a great shower and lovely comfy beds and bed linen. A very filling and hearty breakfast as well and Mark was very friendly and helpful. Cannot fault this lovely bed and breakfast at all, highly recommend it and we will be back again hopefully. Bamburgh also a lovely place to stay! ”

“We stayed in off season. When we arrived at 4 pm, nobody was there. Another guest let us know the keys were just behind a flower box. Got in, lovely room, clean, with plenty of amenities. Good water pressure. My only wish would be that they provide wash cloths, as well as towel racks or some form of hanging and drying our towels. There not a single hook or rack in the entire room. “We stayed for 3 nights at the White Swan. We booked at 2 days notice, and got the last room available, so I wasn’t surprised that it was quite a smallish room, but very very clean and comfortable. Breakfast - the Northumbrian - was magnificent, setting us up for a full days walking with no room or need for lunch. “The cottage is next to the main road. No staying up late in bed in the mornings, the road noise woke us up from 7am. Quiet at night. The location is good, very central to explore Northumberland. Cottage well equipped, especially the kitchen. Communication was good with host. Good options for restaurants (3 within walking distance) and take aways, Coop and Budgens in the village. ”
