We’ve had some amazing guests during this first part of 2022!! A lot of families and a few solo stays & we plan to continue to have great guests & great stays. If you want to party, this is not the space for you. This is not the “let’s bring our Bluetooth speaker so we can play loud music” house. Walls are thin and noise bleeds through.

We've done our best to make this a peaceful oasis in the middle of the inner-city; we believe we’ve accomplished that. :-)

When you enter the home:
-You will be greeted with a nice reflection of yourself, as the door opens to a
full length mirror and resting chair in the entrance.

The Common areas include a:
-Relaxing living room space with an LG smart TV (with complimentary access
to Xfinity cable. You have the option to sign into your own streaming apps)
-Spacious eat-in kitchen area for family cooking/dining and/or working remotely
-Snug couch and comfortable chair

1st bedroom features:
-Twin sized bed
-Comfy chair w/ a reading lamp

2nd bedroom features:
-Full sized bed
-Work desk & chair

3rd Bedroom features:
-Queen sized bed
-Directly across from bathroom
-Two terrycloth robes to snuggle in

The Kitchen features:
-an instant coffee/tea station (drip coffee pot available upon request)
-fully stocked (dishes, pots, and pans for your stay)

The Bathroom includes a 4-piece setup which is perfect for soothing bubble baths after a long day.

Neighborhood sketch

Nice unit and host had great communication but it is on a street with abandoned buildings and boarded up houses. I did not feel safe as people where approaching me while I was getting luggage out of the car. I understand urban but if traveling as woman or alone I would look elsewhere .

Cozy and quiet!

My friends and I decided to use Maurice’s flat as our homebase while we were in the Chicago area. The flat is spacious, clean, and quiet, and the beds are so comfortable!! It was the perfect spot for us to wind down and rest after a busy day of exploring the city.

Hotel experience with the privacy of a house

This place was amazing & just what we were looking for! This newly remodeled up to date apartment suited our needs well, with 3 separate bedrooms. The beds were very comfy & we enjoyed the living area as well. The host was very communicative & even reached out to see if we needed anything. We felt safe while staying there. We would defintely stay again if we are ever in Chicago.

Very comfortable

Maurice’s place was lovely, and comfortable. The pictures of the listing are completely accurate. The whole place was very clean. Great communication with Maurice while we were there. Easy street parking just outside the unit. We would stay here again for sure!

Cute and cozy

My kids and I had a blast exploring the city for a few days over spring break. We loved our stay at Maurice’s flat. Perfect size for my 2 teens and myself, we each got our own room. The beds were super comfy! Kitchen had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Healthcare in Chicago

The property served our needs on our trip to Chicago. It is close to Comers Children’s Hospital where our son had surgery. Easy commute via Uber or Lyft. It is definitely a transitional neighborhood no opportunities to walk to restaurants, stores or bars. The owner, Maurice, was very accommodating and helpful. The property was very clean, great internet and new washer and dryer.

Our stay !!!!!!

We truly enjoyed our stay. Maurice is a great host and has a great property it was very quiet very clean with the fresh remodel, it is in an older neighborhood that they are doing some revitalizing to but we felt completely safe and had no issues. Chicago it was a great city for us to visit with lots to do and we truly enjoyed it and would definitely stay here on Maurices property again.

Property was clean and neat. Maurice (the host) was in constant communication. Close to Hide Park and major expressways. First non tourist like stay for my kids. We got to see a lot of city life unfiltered. Overall was cool.

Pleasant and family friendly

We enjoyed our Chicago visit and the ample space and separate sleeping quarters for the teens of multiple genders made this a perfect spot. Close to U. Chicago and historic Hyde Park. Amply equipped kitchen if meal prep is part of your travel itinerary and very clean! Everything we needed! Maurice was prompt and attentive during our stay.
