“We were in and out of the city for a concert at Chicago Theater. No frills stay but a comfy bed. Wish the lights were brighter in the room. Bar downstairs was great and the area was walkable. Would stay again. Thanks!”

“The staff at the front desk were extremely helpful and welcoming. The hot tub was a great addition to the room. It was a smoking room we were booked in, but the staff were very helpful in providing a liquid spray to get rid of any smoking odors in the room since we were non-smokers. The hotel was very reasonably priced for the amenities provided in the room. My only suggestion would be to include a coffee maker in the room. ”

“Mycket trevligt litet hotell, bra läge i shoppingdistrikt. Jag hade ett litet rum vilket passade mig perfekt. Nära till shopping och attraktioner i centrum. Mycket trevlig personal. Enkel men god frukost.”
“Första gången i stan och tänkte oss promenad, mat och vila. Blandat snö, sol och regn. Men det gick bra ändå.
Hotellet visade sig vara stort. Trodde det var mindre. På helgen var det uppklädda ungdomar som hade fest och det varade hela natten med spring i korridoren, bankande i dörrar och gallskrikande tjejer. Ingen kul upplevelse.

“Extended weekend trip to Chicago. Thompson Chicago has a great location in a neighborhood packed with restaurants and shops. But the rooms in the hotel are showing signs of some wear and tear. The restaurant and bar are currently closed for renovation. ”

"Good location down town Chicago. Good for family with kids with a decent breakfast included in the price. Busy breakfast area though. Crowded and hectic. The inner open yard sounds like a swimmingpool hall. Bed sofa not very comfortable. "
"Great staff but only one working when checking in and one when checking out made it take time and for this level of hotel there should always be resources to add.
The room is like all other chain hotel, it´s like all hotel called the same designer and ordered the same furniture, carpet, bathroom setup. So un-personal and boring. Wifi was ok but not high-speed.
The resort fee is a ridiculous scam that to many hotels charge. Things that other hotels include in the room price but mostly in the US is an add on. However, Swissotel actually gave credit that could be used for breakfast and dry cleaning so the 25+tax could be used in some ways.
The automatic elevators was a big plus, waiting time short and effective use of the elevators, more hotels should have this setup"
"As a swede, my opinon is that hotels in US can differ so much in quality, but this hotel is really a gem! Very clean, fresh and a great feeling everywhere. Friendly staff, great gym and in general a high quality experience. We booked with breakfast, and the breakfast is worth its price. Overall, a really great experience!"
