“I had a great stay at Black Bull Inn. I was lucky enough to be there on a Quiz Night. The desk person (I didn't get his name) invited me to play and gave me a table next to his American friends. It was very nice. The room was great too. ”

“St Ives is a nice place, it still has a tradition, no chain, department store for goodness sake. The Golden Lion is a good base to explore from. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. The bar and restaurant is nicely laid out and decorated. Breakfast was excellent. All in all, really nice. Would I stay again? Yes, most definitely.”

“I checked in late to the hotel and the staff were friendly and helpful. Food was not being served apart from desserts or cheese board. They also advised the restaurant across the road were still serving food. I opted for the cheese board and was not disappointed. Lovely selection of stilton cheeses, biscuits and onion pickle. The hotel room I stayed was is in a period part of the property so had all of the lovely quirky bits (uneven floor, creaking wood, etc.). It was a large room and all...

“Very old and worn down building, but the room was modern and clean. Wifi terrible with multiple dead periods every evening. Water pressure in the shower terrible. Quiet and clean room. No breakfast until 8:30 in the weekend. Parking right outside, but cramped space.”

“For £70 we wasn’t expecting much but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, very friendly atmosphere met some lovely people the room was small but it did the job and breakfast was in with the £70 which you could not fault it was lovely and the landlord was friendly to, so yes a great place to stay ”

“Inga problem att komma sent då de har öppet 24h, frukost serveras från kl 7 men eftersom jag skulle åka kl 6 så ställde de fram frukosten före 6. Jättebra service, helt okej rum men de kunde vara renare och finare. Frukosten består av flingor och rostat bröd.”
