Brilliant break away
Great old school beach bach holiday experience in an awesome part of the country. We spent all our time out on the water fishing, exploring in the rocks and discovering isolated bays. Thanks for the awesome stay!

Beautiful area
We all had a super time. It might pay to alert people enquiring that the upstairs bedroom is only accessible from the outside. Due to the rain the steps and deck were very slippery. Just a suggestion, otherwise an excellent few days. Absolutely love the area

Cissy bay
Perfect Bach for a getaway to a nice quiet wee bay. Perfect for water sports, fishing, and diving. Cell coverage is limited but certainly nice to switch off! Great affordable accommodation.

Cissy bay was amazing. The weather played ball and the fishing was on point . The Bach has a great view over looking the bay with the morning sunshine streaming in and only meters from the boat ramp. The Bach had plenty of room but could have been cleaned better . Overall all a great Bach and holiday .

Great Bach
This is an awesome family Bach. Plenty of room for the kids and Cissy bay is a lovely private spot to relax, just don't forget your bug spray. Had a great time here relaxing with a few friends and we will definitely be back to see some more, cheers!

Lovely Spot Cissy Bay
Hello. We are a family of 5 and enjoyed our stay in Cissy Bay and at this lovely holiday home. Our elderly parents stayed a few days with us and they coped well with the home too. It is a kiwi batch and has everything you need. We had a boat which we got up the driveway into property and there was a good supply of water to wash boat down and the garage under house to store fishing gear and life jackets. House was comfy. Great fire as it was chilly in Cissy Bay first couple of nights. Good size fridge and an extra separate freezer which was needed. Kitchen had everything you needed. We had no probs with the sandflies or mosquitos actually didn't notice them until later in evening. Lovely sitting around back of house in sun late afternoon and we once we set a fire up in BBQ area front of house and toasted marshmellos. Kids slept upstairs nice warm room. Set Contiki up in Cissy bay and got some gurnard which was yummy. Great fishing durveille island with blue cod and gurnard. We brought games so that kept us entertained but I wish I had brought some DVD's for the TV. Very peaceful and relaxing spot :)

Great location
Absolutely beautiful location and all the essentials are at the batch, outstanding views and very close to the water and boat ramp, neighbours were lovely with lots of tips on what to do around the bay (fishing, beaches, walks) Unfortunately the place was extremely dirty, it stunk when we first arrived, the smell left quickly once the the batch was aired out but that didn’t remove all the dead flies and dust, all the dishes needed to be cleaned before use as they were filthy, my wife had to spend most of her time outstanding de due to allergies and all the dust and no doubt dust mites. To summarise lovely spot but batch needs a good clean!

Thank you Barry for you review and thank you very much for the comment glad you had a great time in Cissy Bay. Can you please define what sort of smell was in the Bach because I cleaned the bathroom, kitchen, floors, windows, changed and replaced all the mattress protector, pillow cases and covers as well as vacuum the whole house the day you arrived, because we have a other family had left earlier that morning. There were no flies when I left but the Bach has fly nets on every window so They shouldn’t be coming in in less it was door left opener. Unfortunately I didn’t checked the dishes before you arrived I’ll make sure i will check every time in the future after people left our place. About the dust, just mentioned that Bach is in a gravel road, and this time a year the road is very busy. We apologise for any inconvenience , we try to make everyone feel welcome at our Bach and hope you will come visit again Simón & Cristina

Please list the address more acurately on the website it says 172 but the gate says 470 Cissy Bay. It was difficult to fond in the dark. The driveway was slippery so we used the very friendly neighbours drive. Otherwise a great stay

Brilliant weekend!
We had an awesome time in Cissy Bay, with a very short drive to 'rocky creek boat ramp' and French Pass, we were able to get out and explore the water around d'Urville island. The house was a classic kiwi bach and worked perfectly for our group. The fire was great to keep us warm through the stay, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Christina called prior to us heading out and explained everything so we were good to go. A good spot if you're out adventuring for the day and want to come home to simple warmth and comfort.

we would be happy to stay here again great location with access to the Marlborough sounds very close for boating and fishing. The batch had everything required for our stay. We would recommend this home to other friends and family.

A lovely peaceful place to stay
We very much enjoyed the opportunity to stay in this part of New Zealand. The house has a very pleasant view over Cissy Bay. Is is a comfortable bach and the kitchen is well stocked with basic items. It was clean and tidy and homely. Our host was very approachable and super helpful. Our only problem was with getting our boat back up the boat ramp. It would be easier with a 4 wheel drive. Just one minor comment with the property - the gas barbecue could do with a clean - we didn't use it but would have liked to, though we did use the other wood-fired barbecue.
