B B Dimora Alibrandi was a bit of a disaster. Just connecting with a person to open the place was extremely difficult and ultimately depended on the help of the next-door shopkeeper making phone calls. Inside, we found a live bug -not a bedbug but bad enough - in the bed! Until the wee hours, street noise through the single-pane windows was considerable. The bathroom was of the dubious kind with poor drainage and a soapdish and toilet paper holder lying around, unattached. Breakfast minimal. Location fine. The rest, to be avoided. Thank goodness we were headed for a cruise ship the next day.

Stayed for 1 night prior to a cruise. Yes it’s an old building and furnishings etc are a little dated but in keeping with the age of the property. This all adds to its character. Room was vey clean and quiet.. staff were excellent and welcoming and arranged transport to the port the following morning…would absolutely stay there again.

Alibrandi hotel was ideal to stay for two nights before we went on our cruise due to location. Gigi’s bar had friendly staff for breakfast and/or a drink in the evening. It’s an older Italian building and has kept its character. Could do with a lift to get cases up and down the stairs and door locks were difficult at first but we got used to it. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Wir hatten vor einer Krezfahrt 5 Nächte in diesem "Palace" gebucht, in der Annahme, dass es sich hier um ein Hotel handelte. Von außen erschien der Palazzo aus dem 19. Jhd. auch ganz ansehnlich. Der großzügige Treppenaufgang allerdings zeigte bereits, dass der Glanz eleganter Zeiten schon längst vorbei ist. Es gibt keine Rezeption. Ein Mitarbeiter kommt nach telefonischer Voranmeldung und übergibt die Schlüssel. Wir hatten die "Suite" mit Balkon gebucht, die nach der Beschreibung auch über einen Schreibtisch und eine Kaffeemaschine verfügen sollte. Beides gab es nicht. Anstelle inklusivem Frühstück gab es einen Voucher für einen Kaffee und ein Croissant in der Bar unten im Haus. Das "Hotel" ist in Wirklichkeit eine ehemals elegante und mit antiken Möbelstücken ausgestattete Wohnung in der ersten Etage. Die historische Ausstattung wurde allerdings lieblos weiterverwendet - man sah, dass hier schon Jahrzehntelang nichts mehr renoviert wurde. Die "Lounge" war ein historisches Bad mit vertrockneten Pflanzen in der antiken Marmorwanne und ein paar abgesessenen Sesseln. Der Balkon war unbenutzbar und wurde in den vergangenen Jahren wohl auch nur von den Tauben als Toilette genutzt. Das Bad war ok. Dusche brachte nur maximal lauwarmes Wasser, im heißen Sommer ok. Wenigstens Klimaanlage hat funktioniert. Insgesamt schlechte Preis-Leistung. Pluspunkt: die Lage zwischen Bahnhof und Hafen nah an Strand, Uferpromenade und Altstadt. Schade: eigentlich hätte die Wohnung viel Potential.

Property is awful. No one there and it was locked Our driver called and we waited for 30 minutes and no one showed up there is no front desk we saw inside when 2 people opened door to leave. Inside walls were peeling. The representative lied about someone being there. We had to call and stay at another property Totally unacceptable

No elevator and stairs which is a problem with luggage. No amenities - no shampoo or even soap in bath. No one on staff. They let you in and you’re on your own! Having said that, location was excellent, right across the street from the cruise port.

It is an okay place to stay for just one night. Building is old but that's to be expected. We arrived 2 hours earlier than check-in time but had no problem getting the staff to meet us to let us into our room. There is no STAFF on-site but they gave us a telephone number to call....good luck with that if you have no way to call them. No elevator so you will have to drag your luggage up 2 fights (27 steps) to your room. It took us a little while to figure out how to get out of the building! Definitely not your normal door & lock like in the U.S.  Be sure to ask the staff to show you how to open the 2 main doors from the inside!!! The room could use some fresh paint but at least it is clean and no dust. The mattress is hard but there are nice soft pillows and clean sheets. Our room was next to the pedestrian only walkway so it was a bit noisy till late at night. We were too tired from our flights so that wasn't a problem. Breakfast is not in the main dining area as pictured on the Expedia website but they gave us a handwritten note on a card for free breakfast at the Bar/Cafe next door, good for a pastery and coffee.

Dès notre arrivée, nous avons rencontré des problèmes. On ne retrouvait pas notre règlement, le wifi ne fonctionnait pas et pas d eau chaude.Ensuite, le règlement affiché dans la chambre et le site prévoyait un petit déjeuner. Il avait été supprimé à cause u Covid …ensuite le règlement stipulait que le ménage devait être fait tous les jours.Non les règles avaient changé…La gestionnaire du BB a trouvé heureusement des solutions mais 394€ pour 4 nuits vu les difficultés, je pense qu’il vaut mieux aller a l hôtel

Una struttura che a dei contatti sul proprio sito a cui nn risponde perché risultano inattivi durante il viaggio di arrivo ho provato a contattare ripetutamente nn avendo nessuna risposta solo alle 23 e 30 dinanzi la struttura con l'arrivo di una persona che alloggiava mi ha data un altro recapito telefonico e sono riuscito a parlare con i gestori che che mi hanno detto che erano fuori ed il check in era alle 20 io ho spiegato che nn sono riuscito a contattarli a causa dei contatti sul sito nn attivi ma nn ce stato verso cmq ho passato la notte in macchina

answering an anonymous review without text is not easy but I imagine that the author is Daniel, that lovely guest who, without showing up at the B & B sent a message saying that no one answered the intercom, that he was in front of the door etc. etc... It was 05 pm, I was at the B & B with other guests talking in the breakfast room. The reservation was a LAST MINUTE - NON REFUNDABLE: just ask if it was possible to cancel the reservation without paying any penalty instead of putting 1

Péssimo!!! Não nos receberam pois chegamos tarde! O email falando que o check in fechava as 08:00pm (!!!) foi nos encaminhado 1 dia antes da nossa chegada e por isso, estávamos em viagem, não foi lido. Ficamos do lado de fora do hotel, e na manhã seguinte a porta do hotel continuava fechada então solicitamos por telefone para entrar apenas para tomar um banho isso nos foi negado com a justificativa que o email dizia que o check in terminava as 8 h p.m.

Message sent on the day you made the reservation, January 19th. Since you didn't answer me, on 28 morning I sent you another message, I called you on the phone, I contacted you via whatt'sApp: still NO ANSWER. Finally contact me, contact me via whatt'sApp when you arrived in front of the B&B: 03:46 am (night). But don't you think it would have been better to advise me since on the booking it is written that the check in closes at 08 pm?

boutique hotel. friendly staff. no lift but they carry your bags up and then down. excellent for the money we paid! central to everything, walking distance to the train, plus we also walked to the port to board the cruise ship. Room was terrific!!

Live like a count for few days b4 cruise
Alessandra was terrific and was very helpful in arranging taxis and luggage handling. Property is 200 yr old manor house in downtown one block from sea promonade. Owner in 1800 worked for Vatican. 6 bedroom second floor have 12/14 foot cielings, antique funiture, mable floors. Lose urself like ur living in 1800 but with 2020 modern bathrooms!! Great hot water and pressure! Hurricane impact widows cut town noise to minimum from city street below. Perfect location to walk everywhere including train station. €9 train/bus/ subway ticket for 24hrs Rome. Lovely hotel felt like home after on day. Go to Maa Resturant to top of stairs above McDonalds say hi to Swann, our great server and now friend. Whole 6 block area very helpful, friendly and as breautiful seaport u can't take enough pictures. The property very clean. No smoking except one room off hallway with zero impact to guests from my opinion.

This was such a beautiful place and our room had the only wrap around balcony! It was super reasonably priced for $70 euros a night with complimentary breakfast!

The location is perfect. It is located right on the promenade with it's stores and restaurants. It is within easy walking distance to the cruise ship terminal. The hotel is very secure with a code to enter the building, a key to the floor and another key to your room. The rooms are large with a large clean bathroom as well. The building is quiet and accomodating. We are very happy to have stayed in the Alibrandi Palace.

Alibrandi Palace
This is a nice place to stay for the evening prior to your cruise. It is a little hard to find as it is in the middle of the block. They do not have an elevator but the employees will help you with your luggage. The people at this hotel are very nice and will assist you in any way you need. Breakfast is continental style but very good. You can walk to any of the local restaurants and they will make arrangements for a shuttle bus to the cruise port.
