My friend slipped and fell in our room because they had shampooed our carpet just that day and didn’t tell the night desk clerk. We didn’t realize that’s what made her fall till we took our shoes off and had soaked socks from walking on the carpet. Went and reported the fall and the wet carpet to the desk clerk who said she had no idea they had been shampooed. She apologized asked if my friend was ok and said she would report the issue and incident to her GM for the morning. No offer to switch us rooms or anything but she did offer us a fan to blow on the carpet. Next day manager basically said nothing and I had to approach her about the situation and all she said was “sorry” not can I switch you room so you number one don’t fall and second have dry feet! Then the shower was broken and the fan in the bathroom didn’t work and the window shade looked like raccoons tore the sides of it. My friend had just had back surgery 2 months ago and that fall really hurt. I’m not sure what I was expecting but it was definitely more than just “sorry”. We definitely will be getting an Airbnb next year
