Drömmen längs St. LAWRENCE

  • Charmig, rustik stuga som ligger i en mycket lugn, skyddad vik med utsikt över kanalen och fartygen som passerar när de långsamt går upp och ner i stan. Lawrence River.

    Det finns 3 sovrum och 1 badrum med vardagsrum, solarium och kök.

    Köket renoverades under våren 2018, med nya skåp, full propan spis, mikrovågsugn, diskmaskin och bänkskivor. Det nya köket tillåter kocken att förbereda och / eller städa upp och prata med sina uppdrag när de sitter i antingen vardagsrummet och / eller solrummet. Aldrig saknas på en konversation.
    Känner inte som att laga mat inuti. Det finns en stor gasgrill med en sidbrännare för alla dina grillbehov, med nödvändiga köksredskap.

    Det finns också en bra eldkälla för sena nattbränder, spökbutiker och s'mores.

    Varje sovrum har luftkonditionering för extremelly heta, fuktiga nätter.
    Och det finns takfläktar genom hela stugan.

    Det finns en privat flytande brygga och ett stort däck att sitta och njuta av utsikten, medan du går vilse i dina drömmar.

    Kabel-TV är tillgänglig med DVR, så du behöver inte missa dina shower. Spela in dem och titta på dem senare under din nedtid eller i händelse av regn. Det finns en 50 tums tv i vardagsrummet och TV i 2 av sovrummen,

    Det finns också WiFi för dem som behöver hålla kontakten eller kan behöva få lite arbete gjort samtidigt. Lösenord ges vid ankomst. Mobiltjänster är generellt mycket bra. Ägare har Verizon service och har aldrig haft problem.

    Barn och husdjur är välkomna, men vänligen kontakta ägaren direkt när det gäller husdjur. Det finns en avgift för husdjur på $ 150 per husdjur


    The St. Lawrence River erbjuder några av de bästa fiskarna i NY-staten. Men om fisket inte är din sak, det finns många lokala affärer, vingårdar, lekplatser och Clayton Boat Tours körs faktiskt rätt från samma bukt. Så mycket att du kommer att gå slut på tiden.

    Återigen kan du bara vara glad att sitta och titta på all skönhet !!

Perfect vacation! The property is beautiful.

Check in was a breeze. My grands loved watching the boats on the river. Dogs roamed the fenced yard. Perfect deck for family dinners, game night and wine with a beautiful sunset. We loved it here!

1000 Island retreat

We had a lovely time. The outdoor space is amazing. There was plenty of room for my whole family. Darla was very kind.

Some key points to improve future stays.Windows with AC units (Not Master): Need to add foam to close open between lower and upper window. When lower window is opened a gap exist between two windows. This gap allows flies to enter into cottage. For first two days killed 50 flies. Minor detail but will min annoyances for future tenants

Bad Choice

The whole house was filthy! Dog hair on everything. Refridgerator needed cleaning. Hot water broke. Toilet wouldnt flush, fixed the next day. Poop all over lawn.

Beautiful quaint cottage

This cottage was absolutely perfect! Darla has everything you could need. The deck and dock space were both amazing and the views just breath taking. The only downside was upon arrival, there were quite a number of spiders both inside and out. Totally understandable given the location on the River. We were able to get rid of the ones inside and had no more issues with them for the remainder of our stay. The cottage may not have had anyone staying in awhile. Still the cottage was beyond what we could have asked for. Darla was very communicative and helpful for where to dock and park our boat and trailer as well. It was a great long weekend and we’ll be back!

Extremely dissatisfied,

When calling to cancel our stay, Darla stated that she would give us 10% off the bill. When asked about the difference, she said 'oh I only meant the balance'. Upon arriving, there were fallen shelves on floor in bedroom, which we cleaned up . Washing machine was broken when arrived, fixed only to have her dog pee on the carpet and pillow on the floor. Was cleaned up by a paper towel. Washing machine broke after a week on 7/30, she said it would be fixed on 8/9. When asked her comment was, 'I have invested an extremely large amount of money into the repair of this machine already and I am going to work with the company I have selected.' My comment 'to wait a week and 1/2 is ridiculous. Also we have spent a lot of money to be here with the expectation that there would be a WORKING washing machine, a clean cottage and drinking water. This is our vacation which has been interrupted with nonsense. Which obviously you don't care about at all'. The cleat fell broke off the dock and was not repaired. There is mold in shower. The camp fell off it's foundation and floor is slanted so much that the sliding door in the living room can't be opened. We had to buy our own water which was not mentioned in the add. The water dispenser button sticks which she knows about. Spider webs on ceiling all over the camp which was noticed on our arrival. Ice cube trays filthy on bottom. When texting about the conditions, Darla's comment 'The fan is unserviceable in bedroom but there was an air conditioner. The bed was not to your liking even though there was another adult bedroom with a firmer mattress and air conditioner.' (The firmer mattress that she is referring to in my text, was a mattress with a date of 6/8/98 with 2 egg shell foam mats on it.).' There was not ONE solid surface where we could put our 'stuff' as there was chachki stuff all over the place. Her used toothbrushes and toothpaste were in the bathroom, including her clothes and miscellaneous junk. The cottage has extremely low ceilings. This is absolutely no way for a rental property to be. We rented the place for a month to celebrate my 70th birthday. We could only stand it for less than 3 weeks, due to the mold, mothball and mildew smell of the place. When asked to receive a partial refund, her comment was NO. I am sending a copy of this letter to the Village of Clayton, NY as it is unhealthy.

Not very clean

When arrived the pictures look nothing like the ones she has listed ...the GPS took us there but, no road name not outlined at all once arrived, cob webs all over the porch and inside, the shower curtain was really dirty and floors had not been vacuum at all..placemats were filthy and air conditioning in the bedroom with the twin beds didn't work....the wifi didn't work asked owner she didn't know the name of the wifi answered back and still was not sure dishwasher didn't work asked her how to figure that out still didn't answer back..so we checked out left her a list of stuff that the maid was not doing and totally ignored my request...the only thing that was great was the deck and the beautiful view. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend this property to rent unless she gets a different maid service...and stuff fixed..for the amount of money they are asking I would look elsewhere...not happy with this rental at all....

Great spot and view, dated cottage needing some improvements.

Cute cottage at a great spot, perfect views and nice deck! Nice kitchen and cozy living room with a nice tv. On the down side the water system is served by a well. The sinks had low pressure, you cannot drink the tap water, the water had a sulfur smell, and the shower had extremely low pressure, nearly unusable. There is a water cooler provided for drinking (hot and cold). Ceilings and fans are very low, your head will bump the fans if you 5’11” or taller. Lots of spiders inside and out. The washer was out of order when we were there. A sheet with check-out instructions would be helpful to prevent misunderstandings.

Gem Along the St. Lawrence

Great property along the St. Lawrence! Home adjoins a marina where you can literally walk over for local river tours. Spacious deck looks out over the river with a fire pit below next to an available dock. If you'd ever told me what I would enjoy most on a vacation was sitting in the evenings looking out at the water I would not have believed you. I was wrong. Would definitely go back again!

Relax on the River!

Can’t beat the location right on the river.. large deck is perfect for outdoor enjoyment. Having a dock available made for easy fishing. Charming cottage on the St. Lawrence River!

Last minute booking made easy. Fishing trip with my dad. Perfect location to get out and get on your fishing spots. Definitely stay again.

Family Vacation

This property could not be located in any better! Between Alex Bay and Clayton and right next to Clayton boat rides. Very spacious home. We spent most of our time on the new back deck or by the fire pit. Nice long dock to fish off of as well. We enjoyed preparing our meals while staying there for 10 days. Everything you needed was there for you to use. We would definitely stay there again.

Great Location

Spent summers on the St. Lawrence and it was the perfect location to enjoy all the area has to offer and to see the area after 36 years of being away. Darla was great and responds quickly. Everything we needed and more was available in the house.

Great location

Uneven floors are tricky after boating all day. Low ceiling fans. Hit my hands couple times. Not good if you’re over 6’. Air conditioners only in bedrooms. Deck, dock and location can’t be better. Ramp and trailer storage walking distance. Only 100’ away. Very convenient. Perfect location, location and views. Oh yea, washer didn’t work. Overall liked the cottage and totally enjoyed.

Enjoyed the deck and view. Cottage ok

Kitchen updated and nice. Bedroom with twin beds needs electrical fixed- unsafe- when light or air on for 10 minutes, wall socket became hot. We let the owner know. Cottage needs updating, sounds like they are working on that. The deck is great and there is a beautiful view! Owner very nice.

Back to the River

I have been going to the river for years and recently into Canada for early fishing trips. This year due to no access to Canada went back to the river. This cottage was super convenient, close to a marina and boat launch where we could store our trailers. On the water with a nice view, close to Clayton where you can boat and tie up to public docs for a visit, lunch, etc. Nice new deck with lots of space and table for six. Would definitely come back again.

Fishing on the St Lawrence

Couldn’t get into Canada this year, so we tried the St Lawrence near where we cross the border. The rental is in a great location for easy river access with a good dock and boat launch next door. Cottage had everything we needed to chow down between fishing sessions and had comfortable sleeping arrangements. We had a fun week even though we had trouble zeroing in on the smallmouth.
