A great stay

We used the VRBO as home base for our stay. Close to the lake, Cedar Point, Put-in Bay, and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Our stay was comfortable. Would rent again.

Weekend stay

We stayed for a weekend. Everything was good, walking distance to the lake was great. I wish there would had been an booklet or something with checkout instructions and the WIFI password in it.

The beds were really soft. There wasn’t any extra toilet paper, we had to go and buy some. The communication was lacking. The WiFi password was provided until I asked for it. Overall, for the price it was okay.

They canceled my reservation

I didn’t stay there because they canceled my reservation A day before my trip. I had to find my own place and most of family could not come because they had no place to stay. Very unhappy with this host.

I enjoyed my stay. I am getting my home renovated so I was looking for a place to stay for me and my three children over the holidays. I had a bit of trouble connecting to the WIFI , and communication with the owner was kind of difficult. Getting a reply back took a very long time , sometimes days. Nonetheless the stay was satisfactory. It started to feel like home after a day or two.

Near Lake Erie but…

Was expecting more from a place only several blocks from the lake. First of all, Lorain OH has really gone downhill…first night, numerous gunshots heard along with frequent police sirens. Never got the key code from the owner, had to call VRBO customer service (in Bangladesh, I think), what a hassle at checking.No internet on final day of our stay, so Roku tv didn’t work. Positives were the property was spacious and pretty clean.

Horrible communication

We came into town for a fishing charter. I asked a week prior if we could check in a little early since the charter left at the same time as check in. I was told we should be able to check in by 130pm. Day of the trip I double checked with the host, 2 hours prior to our arrival in town, who said they'd check with housekeeping. We did not hear back from the host until 430pm when normal check in was supposed to be at 3pm. The house had garbage on the floor when we checked in and thermostat was set to 85 when it was 98 outside. The house is pieced together like a fun house with random walls and doors. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

Tried but Uncomfortable

Unfortunately this review is a mixed review. The listing for the most part was accurate, such as having the jacuzzi, exercise bike, game room, etc. The house appeared to be clean to the best of its ability. However, our family was extremely uncomfortable during our stay. The neighborhood seemed very rundown and not necessarily safe. There were people lingering on the streets and loud music throughout the entire night. The house is very old and although it is evident that the owners tried some renovations on a very old house, there are certain things that can't be overcome (sloping floors, beds that are so uncomfortable they cannot be slept in, poor lighting). Unfortunately this was not a pleasant stay for our family.

We got the code to check in twenty five minutes after we was supposed to be checked in. I had to call customer support to get this code. The room was supposed to have a game room but nothing worked. There was no darts for the dartboard. The basketball thing was collapsed. An all board games were missing most pieces. The pac man arcade did work. The backpatio that we was looking forward to was a mess. There was no fire pit, and all the seating was disgusting. There is even a mop bucket full of stale water. My son almost fell through the back step. There were no smoke detectors at all. My mattress was covered in stains. The room with the double beds had a broken bed. Looked like somebody tried to fix it with some four by fours. There was no shampoos or soaps As advertised. None the electrical outlets worked in the room with the bunk beds. It's said to load the dishwasher.When we checked out, but there was no dishwasher. The ice maker on the refrigerator did not work. But besides that, I guess it was okay.. lol very poor communication with the owner who said they was on vacation. I did finally get the correct wi fi password on the second night. I could go on and on, but I we'll stop here. I do not recommend. But it could be nice if they put a little work into it.
