“Tom was very welcoming and hospitable, even the dog liked him. The accommodation was in the centre of the town so it was easy to walk to the bar next door or the fish and chip shop. A continental breakfast is included, croissants, toast, cereal and an abundance of teas or coffee. We had a very long and busy day the next day otherwise we would have stayed and enjoyed them. The bedroom is well equipped with teas, coffees and hairdryer. Very comfy bed I might add.”

“My wife and I stayed here for two nights over a weekend. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially the lasy looking after breakfast. The room was lovely and clean and well furnished. The grounds around the hotel are amazing and so well maintained.”

“The hosts are helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable, with a great view, and a private bathroom close by. There was a kettle in the room, with tea, coffee, fresh milk and drinking water. The dining room is quite grand, with another excellent view. We could help ourselves to fruit, juice and yogurt, the bread had just been made, and the cooked part of the breakfast was also excellent. Parking is next to the house, well away from the road. We will be back if we stay in the area again.”

“A lovely hotel in a great location. Large comfortable room, with great bed. Very nice food with a big selection on the menu. Very dog friendly. Nice garden with adjoining garden to the castle garden, so room to exercise your dog. Close to beautiful walking areas. The perfect break”
