Located on the Southern Nicoya peninsula in Malpais, one of the world’s Blue Zones and only min. drive to the famous surf-destination of Santa Teresa to the North and the Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve to the South.

Santa Teresa is a spectacular tropical paradise with white sandy beaches, turquoise water and incredible sunsets. For surfers, Santa Teresa has some of the best breaks on the Pacific coast and for wildlife enthusiasts, there is plenty to see everywhere around you! The Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve is just around the corner. The restaurants are incredible and fresh fish is available wherever you go. There is lots to do in ST from zip lining, to horseback riding, to paddle boarding or fishing. You are close to yoga studios, eco tours and lots of wonderful restaurants and bars for a fun night out. There is a grocery store within walking distance and an organic market only a short drive away. Come adventure with us!

Casa Rica is perfect for 2 families or a small group of friends who come to Costa Rica to relax, being surrounded by nature, local animals, peace and of course, surf!

It has a nice and big living room with an open space kitchen and dining table, all of them, overlooking the garden and the ocean views.

Casa Rica counts with 4 confortable bedrooms:
* Mater bedroom: king size bed + ensuite bathroom (shower and bath tub)
* Master bedroom: queen size bed + single bed (on request) + outdoor bathroom (shower + bath tub. From the bath tub, you can relax listening the peace of the jungle and looking at the ocean. This is for sure one of the best spots in the house!)
* Guest Bedroom: queen size bed + ensuite bathroom (shower)
* Guest bedroom: 2 queen size bed + detached bathroom (shower)

In order to reach the house, you will need a 4x4 car or, in the dry season, an ATV/Rhino.

We encourage you to rent a 4x 4 car or ATV to discover town and the beauty of the Peninsula.

- Animals & Insects: Get ready to see wildlife in its natural habitat! Howler and white-faced monkeys often pass through the trees next to house, along with iguanas and raccoons! Being in Costa Rica, you might also spot harmless insects like ants, cockroaches or geckos, especially during the rainy season. Don’t worry, this is just part of the tropical environment, not a cleanliness issue!
- Power Outages: Power cuts are common in Santa Teresa and you may experience them during your stay. This is a normal part of the local environment.
- Humidity: Santa Teresa has an average annual relative humidity of 74%, with peaks up to 87% in October and lows around 71% in February. This high humidity can make it difficult for clothes to dry, especially during the rainy season. It’s completely normal for clothing to take longer to dry in these conditions.
