Just a short drive away, Keswick is a vibrant market town full of character, with independent shops, cafés, and plenty of places to eat. It’s also the gateway to Derwentwater, one of the region’s most beautiful lakes. Here, you can enjoy lakeside walks, hire a boat, or simply take in the stunning mountain views reflected on the water.

In the opposite direction lies Cockermouth, a charming Georgian town known for its history and relaxed atmosphere. Birthplace of William Wordsworth, it offers a lovely mix of culture, independent shops, and cosy spots to stop for a coffee or lunch.

Scenic walking routes weave through rolling hills and woodland, with opportunities for everything from gentle strolls to more challenging hikes.
